The enchanting Bosa is truly one of the most beautiful villages in Sardinia or even in all of Italy: ``uno dei Borghi più belli d'Italia``. The small, colorful houses on the steep slope below the Malaspina castle invite you to discover and relax. “La Vecchia Torre” – our tower house at Via Carmine no. 7 – was built in the mid-18th century and underwent an extensive renovation in 2008-2010, preserving its identity and historical memory. Our house is ideally located for exploring Bosa. We accommodate you right between the younger and the older part of the historic city center. ``La Vecchia Torre`` marks the northern part of the small square called ``Piazza dell' Episcopio`` and can also be reached by car. You will very quickly feel the charm of our little town and feel comfortable within our historic walls. When you enter our house through the portal, a rustic barrel vault welcomes you. Vaulted ceilings are also present in other lovingly furnished rooms, while wooden ceilings can be found in the other rooms. Irrespective of this, you will feel the magic of our house and village with all your senses. Our rooms face either the Piazza dell' Episcopio side or a small alley on the castle side, which is already in the older part of the city center named ``Sa Costa``. Right behind our house you can climb a steep stone staircase directly up to Malaspina Castle. If you want to take it easy, simply turn left into one of the narrow streets and stroll through the winding medieval streets of the old town.

IFrom our ``Old Tower`` you can also walk to the younger part of the historic city center within only two minutes. It is up to you which route you choose; head west along the Via Carmine, where you can find many wine cellars filled with the famous “Malvasia di Bosa” and where old ladies still exhibit their embroidery and filet art. Another route leads directly to the Corso Vittorio Emanuele, also called ``Sa Piatta`` by the locals, the heart of the city, framed by two rows of historic buildings and leading you to the city's cathedral. In the center you will also find all the services that will make your stay even more pleasant (bars, restaurants, museums, pharmacies, grocery stores, newspapers, souvenirs and more). Or you can walk along the river Temo, which will amaze you with its beautiful red trachyte stone bridge. Crossing “Su Ponte Ezzu”, as the stone bridge is called by locals, will lead you to the old tanneries, now a national monument. Here, too, you will find small restaurants right beside the river with traditional cuisine that invite you to spend romantic evenings. Along this route you can also watch fishermen returning with their catch of the day or after a day's work preparing their nets for the next day. There is a lot that can be said about the enchanting Bosa and its hospitality, but nothing replaces your visit - welcome to ``La Vecchia Torre``! Benvenuti a Bosa!

🎊 La festa più pazza dell'anno è già nell'aria!
🤪 Sapevate che il Carnevale più “folle” è proprio quello di Bosa?

E se il Giovedì Grasso, il Sabato delle Cantine e la Sfilata sul Fiume, sono la festa della fantasia dedicata ai grandi e ai bambini, il Martedì Grasso è sempre stato caratterizzato dall’uso di due maschere semplicissime: al mattino, per S’Attitudu, le attitadoras (le lamentatrici) si vestono di nero e, intonando un lamento funebre, chiedono un goccetto di latte per la propria bambola che rappresenta il bambino trascurato dalla mamma durante i bagordi del Carnevale.

🔥Poi la notte si illumina di simpatiche “anime” bianche in cerca di “Giolzi”. Le vedrete vagare per il Corso con una lanterna in mano in cerca del fantoccio finché non verrà catturato e bruciato in un rogo.

🎭 Diciamo la verità, il nostro carnevale è considerato irriverente, goliardico… è il trionfo della teatralità. Proprio per questo motivo vi invitiamo ad osare e godere dello spettacolo dal vivo.

🌷Un incantevole borgo dove tradizione e modernità si fondono e infondono curiosità e fascino.
🌺La tua prima indelebile immagine di Bosa sarà il quartiere storico di sa Costa, fatto di case variopinte che si inerpicano sulle pendici del colle di Serravalle, dominato dal castello dei Malaspina, risalente al XII secolo.

🌺Lo raggiungerai a piedi: dall’alto, , ammirerai il panorama di tutta la cittadina. Il poetico Lungotemo con il Ponte Vecchio che cavalca il Temo, unico fiume navigabile in Sardegna, accompagnerà le tue passeggiate alla scoperta delle antiche concerie, che ricordano le radici di un centro famosissimo in Italia da metà 1800 a inizio 1900 per le produzioni di pellame d’alta qualità.

Benvenuti alla Vecchia Torre, a Bosa "uno dei Borghi più belli d'Italia" !
La nostra struttura, una casa a torre come suggerisce il nome, è situata ai piedi del centro storico in una piccola piazza.
L’edificio, sorto nella metà del diciottesimo secolo , negli anni duemila ha subito un’importante ristrutturazione che ne ha salvaguardato l'identità e la memoria storica. Potrete ammirare sin dall’ingresso dei magnifici solai a botte con pietra a vista, presenti anche in alcune camere, mentre nelle altre stanze è protagonista il legno.
Le finestre del vostro alloggio potranno aprirsi su una bellissima piazza oppure su una caratteristica via del centro storico, lasciandovi respirare la magia del nostro borgo.
Dalla nostra Vecchia Torre potrete raggiungere a piedi il centro della città in due minuti, starà a voi scegliere il percorso: infatti potrete percorrere Via Carmine sbirciando dentro le cantine della famosa malvasia di Bosa e ammirare le vecchie signore che ricamano il pregiato Filet.
Un’altra soluzione è accedere direttamente al Corso Vittorio Emanuele, anche chiamato dai residenti Sa Piatta, il salotto della città incorniciato da due file di palazzi d’epoca, che vi condurrà fino alla Cattedrale della città e dove troverete tutti i servizi (bar, ristoranti, musei, farmacia, alimentari ed altro).
Oppure potrete costeggiare il fiume Temo con il suo bellissimo ponte in trachite rossa, inserito tra i trenta più belli d’Italia, ed in questo percorso sarà facile vedere i pescatori rientrare con il pescato del giorno o a lavoro nella preparazione delle Nasse. Attraversando il ponte in pietra, "Su Ponte Ezzu ", arriverete alle vecchie Concerie, oggi monumento nazionale.
Anche qui troverete ristorantini in riva al fiume con cucina tradizionale.
Per visitare il centro storico di Bosa denominato "Sa Costa " , potrete scegliere di avventurarvi , a soli dieci metri dalla nostra Vecchia Torre, lungo la scala in pietra che lo costeggia e che vi porterà ai piedi del Castello Malaspina oppure di perdervi nelle sue viuzze più caratteristiche.
Nessun racconto rende giustizia alla bellezza e all'ospitalità di Bosa, quindi non vi resta che ve**re a trovarci !
