🇮🇹 Ogni pietra e ogni angolo nel 𝔮𝔲𝔞𝔯𝔱𝔦𝔢𝔯𝔢 𝔡𝔦 ℭ𝔞𝔰𝔱𝔢𝔩𝔩𝔬 🏰 celano 𝐬𝐞𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐭𝐢 𝐞 𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐢 🕵🏼‍♂️
Come 𝐕𝐢𝐚 𝐝𝐞𝐥 𝐅𝐨𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐨, chiamata così perché durante l'𝐞𝐩𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐚 𝐝𝐢 𝐩𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐞 che colpì il capoluogo sardo, buona parte delle vittime furono sepolte proprio in questa strada ⚰️

Ed è sempre in Via del Fossario che sorgeva il 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐨 𝐝𝐢 𝐒𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐚 𝐂𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐚 ⛪
Si racconta che un 𝐯𝐢𝐨𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐥𝐞 ⛈️ nel 1747 causò il crollo di parte del colle dove era arroccato il monastero, provocando la morte di 12 monache e 10 educande 🥺
Per questo, ancora oggi, nelle notti in cui il maestrale soffia forte 🌬️, le 𝐮𝐫𝐥𝐚 𝐝𝐞𝐥 𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐢 𝐦𝐞𝐬𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐨 a quelle delle giovani donne che persero la vita in quel tragico incidente 👻

Just like 𝐕𝐢𝐚 𝐝𝐞𝐥 𝐅𝐨𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐨, whose name is due to the fact that people who died of 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐠𝐮𝐞 were 𝐛𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 ⚰️

Via del Fossario has also been the place where there used to be the 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐭 𝐂𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐚 ⛪
It is said that a 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐯𝐲 𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐦 ⛈️ in 1747 caused the collapse of part of the hill where the convent stayed, leading to the death of 12 nuns and 10 young schoolgirls 🥺
Up till today, when mistral wind blows 🌬️, you can still hear those 𝐧𝐮𝐧𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥𝐠𝐢𝐫𝐥𝐬 𝐰𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 👻

Potrai raggiungere facilmente il 𝔓𝔬𝔯𝔱𝔦𝔠𝔬 𝔡𝔢𝔩𝔩𝔢 𝔄𝔫𝔦𝔪𝔢 👻, un tunnel stretto e buio anche a mezzogiorno che scende ripido verso Via dei Genovesi

Come la maggior parte dei portici si trova sotto la protezione della Vergine Maria, nello specifico della 𝐌𝐚𝐝𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐚 𝐝𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐞 𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐳𝐢𝐞 😇

Just like the majorityof the porches, this one is under the protection of the Virgin Mary, the one called 𝐌𝐚𝐝𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐚 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐞𝐬 😇

🇮🇹 Per i cagliaritani il 𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗺𝗼 𝗺𝗮𝗴𝗴𝗶𝗼 non è solo la festa dei lavoratori, ma soprattutto 𝐒𝐚𝐧𝐭'𝐄𝐟𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐨 😇

La città inizia a prepararsi molti giorni prima e si colora 🤩
Le strade, decorate con fiori 💐e bandiere colorate, si animano con i 𝐜𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐦𝐢 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐳𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐢 🥻, la 𝐦𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐜𝐚 🎼 e i 𝐛𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐢 𝐝𝐞𝐢 𝐠𝐫𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐢 𝐟𝐨𝐥𝐤 💃🏼che arrivano da ogni parte dell'isola

👉🏼 Così vuole la tradizione dal 1657, e niente e nessuno (nemmeno i bombardamenti 💣 durante la seconda guerra mondiale o la pandemia 😷) ha mai fermato Sant'Efisio e il voto fattogli dai cagliaritani ❤️💙

People from all over the island, 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐜𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐦𝐞𝐬 🥻 and even from abroad gather to participate in the celebrations
