🔬 LAB ANALYSIS | Layers Distribution Control
The analysis of the layer’s distribution in a COEX plastic container allows verifying their radial concentration at various points of the bottle and by each cavity, evaluating their possible deviation from the nominal values.
The reference percentage of each layer is dictated by specific customer’s needs, the desired performance of the packaging or the type of content.
The main objective of the test is to control the correct repeatability of the layer’s distribution, from the production of the first samples to the industrial phase and, therefore, to ensure the quality standards of the packaging.

🔬 LAB ANALYSIS | Thickness Control
Check out this video of an icepack thickness test conducted in our in-house laboratory!
Using the precise Magna Mike thickness calibrator, we can measure multiple points across the height, base, and neck of a container.
This data is invaluable for ensuring proper plastic distribution, enabling us to fine-tune specific parameters by directly adjusting the machine's parison control system.

🔬 LAB ANALYSIS | Top Load (4° Test)
At Techne Lab, we simulate typical loading conditions of a milk bottle during filling, capping, and stacking for transport or storage.
This test allows to optimize the production process and adjust the bottle thickness by reducing the amount of plastic where it has no effect on vertical strength.

𝗣𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 | 𝗦𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁 & 𝗡𝗲𝗰𝗸 𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿
To produce bottles with handles, the parison must first be subjected to a pre-blowing process that expands it into a shape suitable for molding. At this point, a 𝘀𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁 welds the parison, allowing it to be blown using a timed pre-blow valve.
Once this step is completed, the 𝗻𝗲𝗰𝗸 𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿 takes over, picking up the finished bottles. It cools them and makes sure the neck has an accurate diameter before placing them on the exit conveyor belt with the manipulator. The precise neck diameter is achieved by water-cooled brass push rods, which effectively remove heat from the neck area, preventing any deformation that might occur due to plastic shrinkage.
