Plastic Paradise
In a lagoon, so clear and vast,
Lay plastic, colorful and cast.
A rainbow of refuse, quite the sight,
Where fish once swam with pure delight.
**"Oh dear,"** said the turtle, green and grand,
**"This isn't what we had planned.
Our home's now bright with hues so bold,
But it's just not right, if truth be told."**
The seagull laughed, **"What's this I see?
A lagoon of plastic, wild and free?
I thought I'd find a snack or two,
But all I see is a pink shoe!"**
The crab joined in, with a clickety-clack,
**"This lagoon's become a plastic pack.
I miss the mud, so dark and cool,
Now I'm dodging a floating pool."**
**"It's like a party,"** the dolphin squeaked,
**"With decorations that haven't peaked.
But let's be honest, it's quite a mess,
We prefer our water with less distress."**
So the creatures gathered, one by one,
To clean the lagoon, under the sun.
They worked all day, they worked all night,
To make their home a glorious sight.
Now the lagoon, once more pristine,
Is home to life, not plastic sheen.
The lesson here, as clear as day:
Keep the lagoon beautiful, in every way!
