At Monterosa Splitboarding we aim to provide the best equipment and fantastic touring and freeriding opportunities in and around Champoluc, Gressoney, Alagna and Cervinia for adventurous snowboarders who are looking to get away from lifts and pistes, and want to ride untracked powder! Or, if you are a lone snowboarder in a group of skiing freeriders and are stuck with snow shoes while everybody el

se has skins, we can supply the gear you need not only to keep up, but to ensure that when you reach the top you still feel fresh enough to enjoy the ride down. Our single day tours will open your eyes to the amazing backcountry in this area, whereas a multi day tour will include one or more nights staying in the winter rooms of one of 5 mountain refuges, all at over 3500mts. The following morning there is the promise of first tracks, whether straight down from the refuge or after hiking up to the top of one of the many nearby 4000 metre peaks, for instance Castor, which is 4226mts high. We have boards in a variety of lengths, from 158cm to 181cm, to accommodate people of all shapes and sizes, and we use only Spark R&D Tesla binding systems and Spark G3 skins. During many hikes this combination has proved to be highly effective, reliable and easy to use. We can cater for a single person, or for groups of up to 7 people, and all our equipment, whether hired for a single day or multiple days will be tailored to the individual needs of the rider. Stance width, binding angles and binding fit will be adjusted the previous evening, so that on the day of your tour you can be confident that everything fits as it should and that there are no unexpected problems. We also send out a Spark Backcountry spares kit with tools, with every group, so that if anything does break you have the parts and the ability to put it right.
