Renovating Ancient Ciro’
Ten short years ago, Jodi Torres and I visited Ciro’ one rainy, cold December. We found the village through Gianfranco Zichitella who has been invaluable guiding us through the renovation process along with our architech, Giovanni Ciccopiedi. We have learned a lot about how to take an old falling down, abandoned house and having the vision to see it restored. This village is old. The houses are old. There is interest by others to renovate this tiny village one by one. One of the local churches dates back to the year 1200. Enjoy this insight of our journey....one down and two to go.
