We love this little map of Tuscany showing all the different areas of interest. Casina di Rosa in Civitella Marittima, in southern Tuscany, the lesser densely populated and more rural part of the region. We’re under the little heart, and this should give you an idea of how great this corner of Tuscany is for sightseeing at many diverse sites (and of how lucky we are to occupy this great spot in picture-perfect Tuscany! 😍)

Today we open the new season 2024! The house is ready for our first guests of the year and we have added (like every year) something new. This year we have followed the suggestions of last year’s guests and added a microwave. I guess it was high time!

It is such an exceptional thing when it snows here! It reminds of the winters of long ago. Those of you who have been our guests will no doubt recognize the little bar Da Dante where we meet all our guests upon arrival!

“Epifania epifania tutte le feste porta via”, the holidays are (almost) officially over (although we have a couple of extra days to enjoy this year!). Today the Three Magi were added to the nativity scene, Befana (a good old witch) filled the kids’ stockings with candies and tomorrow all decorations go back in their boxes! Below the beautiful village well and a lovely nativity scene made in an old wheelbarrow!
