EU-VRi and Steinbeis Advanced Risk Technologies are looking for a skilled and motivated Researcher/Engineer in the area of Risk & Resilience (full-time or part-time).
For our projects dealing with:
• integrated risk management
• resilience of critical infrastructures
• emerging risk
• risk management in industry (RBI, RCM, HAZOP, HSE...)
The applicants' profiles to be considered are:
• Mechanical, Electrical, Process, Materials or Chemical Engineers
• Software Engineers (IT), with engineering skills
• Risk/Resilience professionals
The successful candidates should:
• have an academic/engineering degree (researchers) or be working towards it
• have knowledge and/or IT technologies
• possess analytical skills and be motivated to learn and cope with new research issues
• be fluent in English (TOEFL, GRE or other), knowledge of German and/or other languages will be of advantage
The successful candidate will be offered:

Steinbeis Advanced Risk Technologies is looking for a skilled and motivated Researcher/Engineer for the project in the area of
Life Cycle Analysis of new materials (full-time or part-time)
Dealing primarily but not exclusively with the tasks in our project RessFAST "Improving of Material Efficiency by Means of the Resource-Efficient Manufacturing of Components Made out of Aluminum, Steel, Titanium (Steigerung der Materialeffizienz durch ressourceneffiziente Fertigung für Bauteile aus Aluminium, Stahl, Titan)".
The successful candidate should:
• understand and be able to practically apply the principles of modern materials engineering
• be or quickly become familiar with the concept of Life Cycle Analysis (LCA)
• have experience or be ready to learn about modern LCA tools (primarily GaBi and SimaPro, see www.gabi-software.com and https://simapro.com/)
The applicants' profiles to be considered are:
• Mechanical, Process, Materials or Chemical Engineers, with some IT-skills and/or interest in LCA
• Software Engineers (IT), with engineering skills and/or interest in the area of LCA
The successful candidates should:
• have an academic/engineering degree or be working towards it
• possess analytical skills and be motivated to learn and cope with new research issues
• be fluent in English (certification on TOEFL, GRE or other comparable test is an advantage), good knowledge of German is necessary
