With the 2021 holiday season still a little difficult to plan for, the Dolomites may well be the ideal place for a holiday.
Italy coped well with the post-Covid 19 lockdown opening up period this summer with:
the hotels, refuges and restaurants almost all open;
social distancing measures in place and functioning well;
walking holidays being a perfect opportunity to get away from the crowds and the risks that this can involve at the present time.
In fact, this may be the chance of a lifetime to see even the most iconic sites in the Dolomites without the risk of crowds, as it seems likely that the mountains will be less crowded than usual in 2021, too, with some travel restrictions likely to still be in place.
