I pick our blackberries when they are ripe and freeze them for later use... Today I had a "juicerful" so I'm juicing for both jelly and drinking.

Time for the first fruit, preserves, liqueurs and medicinal concotions of the season at Locanda della Valle Nuova agriturismo
This is what agriturismo is about: staying on a working farm and enjoying the products of the land (and, if you wish, participating in some of the picking, preserving, juicing, pickling, fermenting that we do).

As some of you know, we buy almost all that we don't produce ourselves directly from other (organic) producers nearby.
Most of them are good friends in addition to being suppliers.
Well... one of our friends, Luca, an outstanding cheese producer, needs our help and, if you wish and can, your help too.
Due to an appalling mix of fate (the biggest snowfall ever seen in our area, over 3 metres/12 feet, in 2012), the infamous Italian bureaucracy and the bank system he is on the verge of losing his farm and his animals.
An amazing group of people is going to buy his farm back for him at auction (through interest-free loans and donations) and every bit helps.

Come molti di voi sanno acquistiamo la maggior parte di ciò che non produciamo alla fattoria da altri produttori (biologici) locali.
Molti di loro sono amici, oltre che fornitori.

Ecco, uno dei nostri amici, Luca, un eccezionale produttore di formaggi, ha bisogno del nostro aiuto e, se volete e potete, anche del vostro.

A causa di un micidiale mix di sfortuna (la nevicata o "il nevone" del 2012, oltre 3 metri di neve), la famigerata burocrazia italiana che tutti ci invidiano (!) e il sistema bancario, Luca è a un passo dal perdere la sua azienda e i suoi animali.

Un gruppo di persone fantastiche si sono organizzate per riacquistare all'asta la sua azienda (con prestiti infruttiferi e donazioni) e ogni euro aiuta.
