Florence has a special bond with Carlo Lorenzini, known as Collodi: in a walk along via de' Cerretani, enjoying the magnificent view of the Dome of Santa Maria del Fiore, turn into a side street and look for a building with a plaque dedicated to the father of Pinocchio, one of the most translated Italian books abroad.
In this street, the writer lived and wrote the story of the wooden puppet in this very house. ✍
