Although there is a recent rise in modernism and contemporary architecture in , I will always be in love with the traditional designs, especially at this riad, that feels like home

One of my favourite details are the gorgeous, curved arches and keyhole doorways that not only add structural.support, but bring an aesthetic elegance as well

Riads are both historically & culturally rich and provide a glimpse into traditional Moroccan living. I wouldn't dream of staying in a modern hotel in Marrakech!

I will always choose a traditional riad over a hotel in Marrakech

Always

Riads are magical: typically small, quiet and tucked away in hidden alleyways
They often have sunny terraces, which are perfect for relaxing, soaking in the sun or sharing a moment with a tortoise or two!

Tomorrow marks the 1st night of Hanukkah (fun fact: Hanukkah starting on 25 December has only occurred five times since 1900!)

So, while everyone was gathering around the stunning tree in the Piazza del Duomo, I took a quiet moment to visit the beautiful synagogue in the city's 'Mattonaia' neighborhood
☆
It was just me & this magnificent monument (and an armed guard!)
It is truly such a spectacular structure with its unmistakable green dome, gracing the skyline

I highly recommend a visit
