So often we forget to say 'thank you,' assuming people already know how we feel, or simply taking it for granted

Me and a tortoise on my favourite terrace

I will always choose a traditional riad over a hotel in Marrakech

Always

Riads are magical: typically small, quiet and tucked away in hidden alleyways
They often have sunny terraces, which are perfect for relaxing, soaking in the sun or sharing a moment with a tortoise or two!

Tomorrow marks the 1st night of Hanukkah (fun fact: Hanukkah starting on 25 December has only occurred five times since 1900!)

So, while everyone was gathering around the stunning tree in the Piazza del Duomo, I took a quiet moment to visit the beautiful synagogue in the city's 'Mattonaia' neighborhood
☆
It was just me & this magnificent monument (and an armed guard!)
It is truly such a spectacular structure with its unmistakable green dome, gracing the skyline

I highly recommend a visit

Let's live in the moment

In a world where everything seems to move at lightning speed (except for this magnificent tortoise!)—it's easy to lose ourselves

We spend so much time worrying about the future or replaying the past (I'm guilty, too!) that we forget to experience what's right in front of us:

the present moment

But, how can we change our mindset to live in the moment?
Here are a few doable tips (I will do them with you!):

• Start your day with a mindfulness practice such as meditation or deep breathing
• Try to limit distractions & put your dang phone away during meaningful activities
• Practice gratitude daily, even for the smallest joys
• Engage in grounding activities such as yoga, journalism, gardening, or a walk in nature

Life is fleeting and the present moment is the only one we truly have
So, pause, take a deep breath and soak it all in, right now
♡♡♡

Here I am enjoying this special moment of feeding a tortoise aged over 100 years old
He sure knows how to live every moment!
