Our single day bike tour in Tuscany has everything from wine and oil tasting, to visiting a charming 12th century medieval castle which is home to a Count and Countess. Our Tuscany bike tour takes us on a breathtaking cycle through the hills of Chianti passing vineyards, villas and olive groves. Taking in the sights, smells and sounds before sitting down to a full lunch at a quaint family owned re
staurant which nestles amongst the Florentine hills. Full day bike tour costs:
Students €75 per person | Non students €85 per person. A valid form of Student id is required. All of our participants are supplied and fitted with bikes and safety helmets for your tour. You will receive a Free Tuscany bike tours water bottle and our guide will tend to your every need. Before taking to the bike there will be a bicycle orientation and tour safety talk. During the tour there will be plenty of photo opportunities & lunch. Distance:
23 kilometers, 13 miles. Terrain:
Mixed terrain, well surfaced roads with light traffic. One steep uphill 950 meter climb. (Van support available all day)
Departure/Meeting Point:
Our one day bike tour departs Florence daily at 10.00am. Our office is located on Via Ghibellina 34r 50122. 3 minutes walking distance from Santa Croce. We are located opposite the sushi ristorante. Please be at the meeting point 30 minutes prior to departure. L

Now that the season is arriving to its end, we want to say goodbye to it with the classic of the Tuscan landscapes...gentle rolling hills, geometric vineyards and dramatic clouds.
Probably the only one missing in those pictures is the iconic cypress 🤔

Did you know that the grapes harvest in Tuscany is done from the beginning of September to the end of it?
The main variarity of grapes they we grow in Chianti is the Sangiovese grapes.
A type of grapes that need sun and warm weather; exactly what we have in our beautiful region.
Have you ever attend the grapes harvest? Have you ever done it yourself?
I remember when I was a little child, my father was taking me to Cerbaia, a small town few kilometers away from Poppiano and over there I was enjoying myself collecting grapes and pressing it.
Those where fantastic moments!!

The last effort during our castle tour is a 3 floors staircase that it takes you to the top of the Castello di Poppiano tower.
The view from here is probably one of the best that you can have in the entire Chianti area.

Today has been one of the most beautiful days since the beginning of our season in June.
After yesterday's rain the air has been completely cleaned up so that allowed us to enjoy the best day of the year.
Moreover a great couple joined us and kept company for the entire day.

We are definitely at the doors of Fall and despite the weather is changing and the days are getting shorter, I am still loving this season because it gifts us with the delicious porcini mushrooms.
We commonly prepare a sauteed mushrooms, risotto or Fettuccine ai funghi porcini.
Now I have to go, pasta is ready and I cannot wait to eat them...
I will tell you later on how good they were 😉😋

Usually September is the month that we are all looking for because the temperature is getting cooler, we can experience the grapes harvest and also because it is time for us to start thinking of where to go in vacation after 9 months of hard work.
Although this year is a very different season, the months past so quickly and we haven't actually work that hard so we are full of energy and we would like just to be in March to start the season from the beginning.
