⚜️Sul Ponte Santa Trìnita c'è la statua di una donna. che regge un cesto di fiori, una delle tante raffigurazioni della primavera che si possono ammirare a Firenze. La sua storia, però, è a dir poco unica!
Eseguita agli inizi del 1600 come abbellimento del ponte, fu ripescata dall'Arno anni dopo la distruzione di questo, nel 1944, ad opera dei tedeschi in ritirata. Era rimasta però senza la testa, che fu recuperata dal fondo del fiume solo nel 1961 e finalmente ricollocata sul corpo. Se la primavera è simbolo di rinascita e di speranza 🌺🌸🙏, quale opera d'arte la può rappresentare meglio di questa?
⚜️On one end of the Santa Trinita Bridge there is the statue of a woman holding a basket of flowers, one of the many depictions of Spring in Florence. Its history, however, is unique, to say the least!
Executed in the early 1600 as an ornament of the bridge, it was fished out of the Arno river years after the bridge was destroyed by mines from the retreating Germans in 1944. It was, however, without the head, which was instead recovered from the river bottom only in 1961 and finally placed back on the body. If Spring season is a symbol of rebirth and hope🌸🌺🙏, what work of art can better represent it than this one?
