Si specializza così in rivestimenti di oggetti in pietre semi preziose. Al ritorno dal servizio militare,dopo la formazione e l'osservazione compiuta nell'antica bottega, decide di intraprendere come autodidatta la lavorazione del commesso fiorentino, detto anche mosaico fiorentino in pietra dura naturale. Si avvia così, dopo anni di esperienza, a tramandare a sua volta gli antichi saperi e le con
oscenze ad amatori ed allievi come accadeva nella storia, nelle antiche botteghe, da maestro ad allievo. Da sempre il maestro Marrucci si dedica con metodo, alla paziente ricerca di pietre quali: calcedoni, gabbri, paesine etc…Impegnatosi a tramandare a pochi quest'arte crea delle collaborazioni anche con una sua allieva: Di Sabatino Lituana. Analizzando nello specifico la figura del maestro d'arte Marrucci, ci accorgiamo osservando alcune delle sue opere che egli è colui che spesso viene definito come “vedutista” o paesaggista, benché abbia nella sua carriera eseguito copie di prestigiosi tavoli antichi con fiori, nature morte o nature marine. Art MASTER Roberto Marrucci was born on 20.03.1946 in Florence. At the age of 15 years he was apprentice at the workshop of Master Giovanni Fiaschi. He specialised in coating objects with semi-precious stones. Upon returning from his military service, after training and observation in the old workshop, he decided to undertake as self-taught the work of Florentine mosaic (commesso) with hard stones. Thus he started, after years of experience, to hand down in turn the ancient knowledge to amateurs and students as it happened in the past, in the ancient workshops, from master to pupil. Master Marrucci has always been dedicated with method to the patient search for stones like: chalcedony, gabbro, paesina, etc. Analysing more specifically the figure of the art master Marrucci, we realise by observing some of his works that he is the one who often is defined as “landscape artist”, although during his career he has made copies of prestigious antique tables with flowers, still-life or marine life paintings.
