Did you know that there is a little Provence in Tuscany? 🪻
We are in the area of the Colline Pisane, about 40 kilometers south of Pisa. Every year, lavender blooms turn the surrounding landscape purple and inebriate with its perfume the small village of Santa Luce.
The lavender fields of Santa Luce were originally wheat fields that were reconverted in 2017 to cultivate lavender and other aromatic medicinal plants using organic and biodynamic methods.
Walking through the lavender fields, amidst the scent and the buzzing of bees, gives a feeling of serenity that cannot be described; it must be experienced at least once in a lifetime!
Lavender flowers bloom between the beginning of June and the end of July, however, weather conditions can anticipate, or vice versa, postpone the flowering.

Are you wondering how many languages are spoken in Italy? 🗣️
We'll give you a hint: more than 30!

Despite the hundreds of years of history, art, and culture we associate with the country, few people realize that Italy is still a relatively young nation.

The Italian peninsula once consisted of multiple independent city-states, which were not unified until 1871, when it became the Kingdom of Italy.
It’s no surprise that Italy’s 20 official regions still boast distinct identities, cultures and languages.

The majority of these languages are Romance-based, meaning that they evolved from Vulgar Latin.

The 2025 is the Jubilee Year in Rome and Vatican City. The Jubilee is a significant Catholic event that occurs every 25 years. The official beginning of the Jubilee is marked by the opening of the Holy Door at St Peter's Basilica. ⛪

This period will last until the Epiphany festival in January 2026. For Catholics, the Jubilee holds deep spiritual meaning. Walking through the Holy Doors is considered a symbolic transition from sin to grace and is believed to bring salvation to those who pass through. It’s an opportunity for pilgrimage, reconciliation, spiritual growth, and celebration.

Consider that Rome will be crowded because of the flow of pilgrims. However, we'll be delighted to organize an unforgettable holiday for you and your group.
If you’re planning on visiting Rome in 2025 or thinking of traveling to Italy this year, make sure to plan in advance with us! 🧳✈️

Every country in the world has haunted places, but Italy seems to have some of the scariest!

Here below you can find some of the most famous:

1. Ville Sbertoli, near Pistoia in Tuscany, a complex of villas once used as a neuropsychiatric hospital. Nowadays people living nearby, still hear screams and cries during the night.

2. Poveglia Island, in the Venetian Lagoon, known as the most haunted place on earth. This island hosted people who contracted the plague during the Middle Ages and then was transformed into a psychiatric hospital where doctors carried out experiments on children with strange equipment, leading people to commit su***de by jumping off the church tower

3. Montebello Castle, where the ghost of Azzurrina still walks around the castle rooms. Azzurrina, a young albino girl, suddenly disappeared one day in the dungeons, where the castle icebox was located and she was never found again.

4. Villa Magoni, near Ferrara, known as the witch house. During the 80s, 4 guys decided to explore the abandoned villa. Once inside, they heard a baby crying and decided to run away. While jumping into their car, they saw a witch at the window telling them they did not have to go back again. On the way home, they had a bad accident and only one of them survived.

5. Belzebù's house in Cefalù, Sicily. It was the house of Aleister Crowley, one of the most famous writers and Satanists of his time. Satanic prayers, animal sacrifices and acts of extreme s*x with the use of drugs once took place in the house. Crowley was expelled from the village and the building was put up for sale, but no one ever bought the house.

Let us know which is the scariest in your opinion! 👻😱

In North Italy, you can admire many wonderful lakes, but this is a really special one!

Created in 1950, after the merging of 3 different lakes, Lake Resia is now one of the best attractions in the area.
Due to the merging of the lakes, the small village of Curon Venosta has been submerged and as evidence of this today we can admire the bell tower of the ancient Romanic church of the village.

A legend says that during winter days is still possible to hear the bells ringing from the bottom of the lake🔔

Mamoiada Carnival is a unique experience to see once in a lifetime! 🎭

If you love being in contact with local folklore, this is something that you can’t miss!
No one knows exactly the origin of this carnival, but for sure it has always been a propitiatory ritual for people and harvest.

The carnival consists of a parade with two different masks: Mamuthones, men wearing big bells on the back and neck, brown animal furs and black masks, representing animals or death, and Issohadores, men wearing white masks and clothes and a red shirt. They also have a rope used to catch prisoners.

Every year, thousands of people visit Mamoiada to see this unique event.
