puglia 🇮🇹

hi there! today i want to talk to you about puglia, the heel of the boot and one of the most beautiful region of !

when you walk around the tiny streets of alberobello in valle d’itria you feel going back in time: people still live in this little trulli where they used to live centuries ago.

you just have to take a walk around lecce to see art and monuments from the roman age to the dark age and renaissance. it is called the florence of puglia because it is an open air museum. you can touch the excess of the baroque style in the basilica di santa croce.

this region it is not just about art and history because its best part is the natural beauty. in ostuni you can find all this 3 ingredients and you can sunbathe as well.

in santa maria di leuca you can find the italian maldives: pescoluse is really called that way from us italians.

tell me if a pugliese (a person from puglia) is not lucky. are you jealous?
wait to eat orecchiette pugliesi and the panzerotti. you will definitely move here like from australia!

of course there’s lots more to see in puglia, these are my favorites. a post cannot contain all of its beauty 💁🏼‍♀️

📍calabria 🇮🇹

is one of the two region at the bottom of the boot 👢as in sicily the sea is beautiful, as beautiful as maldives. nothing to envy.

relaxing at the beach and discovering history can be perfectly combined on your tour here: it is not an island but its perimeter is almost wholly touched by the sea and my favorite 3/4 places/things to see are all close or on the coast. going to beach in the morning and “study” some history in the afternoon can be a perfect plan.

📌 stilo: it is a little town on the rock. its origins are connected to the destruction of the ancient Greek colony of Caulonia by Dionysius II of Syracuse, followed by another by the Campanians (allies of the Romans) in 277 bc!!! isn’t it amazing how old it is?!

📌San Nicola Arcella is a town on the other side of calabria. stopping here is a must. the sea and the rocks on the beach are simply amazing.

📌 tropea. a legend suggests that the town was founded by Hercules when returning from his labours at the Pillars of Hercules. it was elected the most beautiful village in italy 2021!

📌 the fortress of le castella is this amazing castle on the beach, almost more suggestive at night.

📌 bronzi di riace are not a place, they are art, they are statues that represent the beauty of the men, how a man should be.

📌 the trip won’t be complete if you don’t taste ‘nduja and guanciale calabrese. direct me if you want to know the best places to eat them.

📍S I C I L I A 🇮🇹

sicily is the southernmost region and the biggest island of italy.
it includes other several islands, you may have heard some of their names: lampedusa (the southernmost point of italy) favignana, stromboli, panarea, pantelleria, ecc…

i decided to start from here because is one of my favorite region. i am not saying it is the most beautiful, it’s just has a special place in my heart.

first of all because i love islands: life is slower, relaxing and people look happier.
second of all, the sea is beautiful. the water is cristalline and there are spots of beaches that look like heaven. sincerely i don’t know why italians do spend money to go to mauritius or seychelles when we have such a paradisiac place so close.

but this region doesn’t have only stunning beaches: it is full of history, even from the bc era. so if you do come here there are many things to do and see. for families, young and adventurous people, intellectual and older ones, you can come here and do any kind of vacation you want. and if you need some tips just write ✍️ me or call me!

the following are 3 places that you can not miss if you come here just for a few days. i am not sure you can see all 3 of them in such short time so my first tip is to stay here longer because a year wouldn’t be enough to see all the beauty around here. these are at the top of the list:

hi friends,
this is the first post to introduce all the others that will talk about our 20 regions. all of them so beautiful, different and trust me, it is worth it to see all of them.

in fact here’s my first T I P 👉🏻 if you don’t have too many days off, do not come to europe and go around all the capitals. instead, pick just a country and see all the best of it.

italy has so many beautiful treasure to see that a month is not enough. so don’t waste money for a flight to rome and leave to another european country after 4 days around it but take a car 👉🏻or my V A N👈🏻 and see all the treasure we got.

my parents are italian, my four grandparents are italian, my grandparents’ parents were italian and so on. my blood is 100% italian, but i traveled a lot and i’ll tell you something: there’s nothing like our country.

the F O O D is amazing and even if “spaghetti al pomodoro” (comment if you want the recipe) is really easy to make, it is my favorite plate. it would be yours too if you tested my granma’s 👉🏻you can if you come to umbria too 🥰

every region has its own specialties and its own history: the H I S T O R Y you have all around you here is unbelievable.

and the N A T U R E is crazy: italy is so little but it has many many different landscapes, you just need to drive few hours to see a complete different countryside.

this little island is close to my home. it’s in the middle of the trasimeno lake. it is the biggest of the lake and you want to see it if you are around and combine hiking with history 💁🏼‍♀️

R O M A

i think it is the most beautiful city in the world. everytime i go it is like the first time even though i’ve been there hundreds times.

i have goose bumps thinking i am walking where the kings of rome walked. everywhere around me i see and and . i love it and i feel very lucky to be living in such beautiful country.

rome is not the most organized city, it is not the cleanest, its people are not the nicest. but it must be on your 🇮🇹 and you can’t not see it if you come to italy.
