The Parish Church of the Assumption in Niederlana is home to the largest altarpiece in the Alpine region: the magnificent Schnatterpeck Altarpiece. ⛪️ Standing over 14 metres tall, with life-sized figures and golden details, this chestnut wood masterpiece has been captivating visitors for over 500 years – a unique testament to craftsmanship and sacred art.

Whether it’s the imposing depiction of the Throne of Grace or the striking Passion scenes: a guided tour of the church is a must for art lovers and anyone who wants to experience history up close.
