Truffle hunting

You have probably eaten TRUFFLES, but have you wondered where they come from? And how they grow? Growing truffles is very difficult. Hunting them in their natural habitat is still the most common way to collect these precious gifts of the earth. But the search is not easy, and strictly regulated: only a few can do it. With the help of one of those few, a local experienced truffle hunter, we now offer an easy truffle hunting experience for everone! Here in Tuscany truffles can be found all year round: each season brings its own type of truffle, with its different flavour and smell. Our guide Paolo, together with his trained Lagotto dogs (a breed that excels in seeking out truffles), will lead you in a walk through the woods to show you how to find the seasonal truffles. Throughout the hunt you will also learn more about the fascinating knowledge that surrounds truffles. If you are lucky, you could find at least one truffle and be able to extract it with your own hands!
