To start off the holiday season, a free guided tour of Lucca in English will be offered by La Giunchiglia Guided Tours to our followers on December 15 at 10 am.
The tour is limited to a maximum of 30 participants.

Lucca celebrates the centenary of Giacomo Puccini’s death
11 am The Mayor of Lucca will place a laurel wreath by the Maestro’s statue in Piazza Cittadella followed by the presentation of a commemorative coin and stamp
At 2, 3 and 4 pm Puccini Museum offers free guided tours of the museum and exhibition( booking required)
At 3.30 pm, the exhibit ‘Giacomo Puccini Manifesto’ will be inaugurated at the ex-Cavallerizza in Piazzale Verdi
At 8 pm, the Mayor will inaugurate the restored facade of Teatro del Giglio and entitle it to Giacomo Puccini
At 8.30 pm the production of Tosca with Lucca’s own Massimo Cavelletti in the role of Scarpia
This performance and that of Sunday December 1 are both sold-out.
The Cinema Astra will be transmitting the performance live tonight and Noi TV will broadcast it on channel 12 Tuesday, December 3.
