A few photos from the recent trip to Lecce. It’s only 1.5 hours from our Trullo and is definitely worth the drive. Here’s a few angles of the stunning Basilica di Santa Croce. Construction took over two centuries, but thankfully it was completed in 1695 and is still here for our viewing pleasure! @ Basilica di Santa Croce

The remarkable Costa dei Trulli is just a 45 minute drive away, and on a day like this it would be silly not to come and soak up the best that Puglia has to offer 😍

Bari is the regional capital and an important city on the Adriatic Coast.

It’s a short drive, but well worth a visit to see the town and the port, perhaps you’ll even take the ferry... @ Bari, Italy

The caves, or Sassi, of Matera are one of the most astonishing sights I’ve witnessed. These ancient dwellings are intricately carved into the hillside. Although evacuated in the 50’s, they now house a number of museums and are still a joy to behold!

When in Alberobello, I always make sure I stop by Ristorante Gli Ulivi for my evening meal. I’ve eaten at many restaurants in the town, but for me this is the most authentic experience. Always a warm welcome and even warmer delights on my plate 🤤 @ Ristorante Gli Ulivi Alberobello

Alberobello has been made a UNESCO world heritage site for its unusual districts of trulli, the characteristic white-washed conical-roofed houses of the area. There are hundreds for as far as the eye can see... @ Alberobello
