Happy ! Today is the scariest night of the year and in this episode of , we discover three most haunted places in Italy:�

Poveglia Island - Veneto
Located between Venice and Lido in the Venetian Lagoon lies Poveglia, considered the most haunted place in Italy.
In the 18th century the island was used as a quarantine station for people with infectious diseases. The locals believe the island to be cursed by the tortured souls who once lived there.�

Montebello Castle - Emilia-Romagna
The castle close to Rimini was the home to a little girl called Guendolina, an albino girl, which in those days was thought to be a curse.
To protect their daughter, her father would not allow her to leave the house. One day she was playing with a ball when it fell down the basement stairs and disappeared. Her ghost is said to inhabit the castle, and every summer solstice people report hearing the cries of a little girl.�

Botanicals Garden - Toscana
Situated within a corner of Lucca’s city wall, the botanical gardens are home to an old legend.
A noblewoman named Lucida Mansi sold her soul to the devil in exchange for retaining her beauty. She is said to have had many lovers, but wishing to keep her reputation intact, she murdered them.
She died of the plague and the legend says that on dark stormy nights she can be seen racing around the pond, haunting the gardens. �

Italian food is famous all over the word. Each Region has its typical dishes where you can experience the real tradition and culture of the area. Let’s have a look to the most famous food:

Pizza
The undisputed queen of the Italian table is the pizza! Its simplicity, which has delighted us for centuries, has conquered the hearts of the whole world. You can season it as you prefer, but the best one will always remain the .

Spaghetti alla Carbonara
The most famous dish of the Roman tradition. Crispy jowl (and not bacon), raw egg, pecorino cheese and some cooking water. Add pepper and you have the perfect Italian !

Bucatini all’Amatriciana
Amatriciana pasta, derived from the city of Amatrice, is a pride of Roman gastronomy and Lazio in general. Jowl, pecorino cheese and tomato and The most suitable pasta format: the bucatini!

Lasagna
An institution of Bolognaise cuisine, is perhaps the most elaborate but most tasty way of conceiving baked pasta. Ragù sauce, béchamel and grated parmigiano and you have the perfect Italian Sunday.
