Terminal Fee (Philippine Passenger Service Charge):
1. Inclusion in Flight Ticket Price:
- For flights departing from Manila-NAIA Airport, the terminal fee is usually already included in the ticket price. This is also true for nearly all Philippine domestic flights, so passengers generally do not need to pay separately at the airport.
- However, you may still need to pay the terminal fee at the airport for some flights departing from Clark Airport, or international flights from Cebu, Clark, Kalibo, Davao, Iloilo, Puerto Princesa, or other international airports, except Manila.
2. Fee Amounts:
- Domestic Flights:The terminal fee ranges from P50 to P200 per person.
- International Flights: The terminal fee ranges from P550 to P700 per person. -
Exemption: Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) are exempted from paying the terminal fee at Manila-NAIA Airport.
PH Travel Tax:
1. Imposition of Travel Tax:
- The Philippine travel tax is imposed on Filipino citizens, permanent resident aliens, and non-immigrant aliens who have stayed in the Philippines for at least one year.
The fee is:
- P1,620 for passengers on economy class plane tickets.
- P2,700 for passengers flying first class.
- This tax is mandated by Presidential Decree 11832.
Who Is Exempted?
- Foreigners traveling in the Philippines on a short visit or in transit are not required to pay this travel tax.
- Exemptions also apply to:
- Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs)(depending on their permit to stay in countries like Italy).
- Infants (2 years and below)
- Filipino permanent residents abroad whose stay in the Philippines is less than one year.
- Additional exemptions and reduced fees can be found on Tourism Infrastructure and Enterprise Zone Authority (TIEZA) website.
