Le Carillon resort in Pararaggi has in fact been customized with the iconic zigzag prints: the furniture, tapestry, umbrellas and beach towels blend perfectly with the colors of the surrounding landscape.

Perfect Strangers (2016) was included in the Guinness World Record because it became the most re-made movie in cinema history with 18 versions of it.

Here's the English version of one of the most famous dialogues of this movie, that you can watch on Netflix. If you do so, tell us what you think of it!

The biggest theater in Italy and the third one in Europe: this is Teatro Massimo in Palermo 🎭

This theater opened on June 16th 1891 with Falstaff by Giuseppe Verdi and thanks to its 7730mq is the biggest in Italy and the third one in Europe, after the Opéra in Paris and the Staatsoper in Wien.
Teatro Massimo is richly decored both outside and inside, making it a beautiful building and a breathtaking place where to spend the evening and live a new experience.

Tomato sauce!🍅Italians love it, but how many types are there?

Pasta with tomato sauce, two or three basil leaves and some parmesan on top is one of the simplest Italian dishes that we know, but did you know that there's not only one type of sauce? 🍝

At the supermarket, you'll find "pelati" cans with whole tomatoes in one piece. You'll need to chop them to make a great sauce.
Then there's "pezzettoni" or "pezzi" which means you'll find the tomatoes already cut in pieces.
After that, there are "polpa", which means that it's almost a sauce but with some pieces still visible, and "passata" which has no pieces visible.
Of course, all of these types of tomato sauce need to be cooked for some minutes before serving.
Eventually, you'll have what Italians call "sugo", which is the tomato sauce needed to season your pasta. You can find "sugo" at the supermarket too so that you're ready to go and enjoy your delicious pasta!

Bologna: "the ductus, the fatty, the red one, the towered". Let's discover why 🧑‍🏫

Bologna has many different titles.
It's "ductus" because its University was the first one ever opened in the western world (1088).
It's "fatty" because its food is delicious and has lots of great options (tortellini, lasagne, tagliatelle...).
It's the "red one" because of the color of its buildings that tend to have a reddish shade, especially at sunset.
And it's the "towered" because in the past there were more than 100 towers in the city. Now you can only count 28 towers remaining, two of them are the most famous ones: Asinelli and Garisenda.

According to Veneto region, there are 3477 villas that were built between XV and XIX century by the local aristocracy as a symbol of wealth and richness.
These villas can be mainly found in the southern part of the region, between the provinces of Venice, Padua, Verona, Vicenza and Treviso, and can be visited by anyone or rent for special events (business oriented too).

Do you know these famous Italian actors? 🎥📺

Valerio Mastandrea (on the back) and Luca Marinelli (at the front) are both Roman actors with important careers.
Valerio Mastandrea is better known in the Italian audience, while the young Luca Marinelli has worked in international film too like "The Old Guard" with Charlize Theron.

They've recently worked together in "Diabolik" (2021), a movie that tells the love story between Diabolik (Luca Marinelli) - a genious masked thief - and Eva Kant (played by Miriam Leone). 🥷
Mastandrea here plays the antagonist, detective Ginko.
The movie is taken from the comics Diabolik, written by the two sisters Angela and Luciana Giussani, and first released in 1962.

It's Aperitivo time🥂

At the end of the day, when you leave your workplace, sometimes you just need to meet with your friends and have some fun time together.
In Italy, we use to have aperitivo with some good wine, a selection of excellent cold cuts and pieces of Parmigiano Reggiano! 🍷🧀

Do you know that the taste of the Parmigiano Reggiano changes by its aging?
The minimum is 12 months, when the cheese is still soft and perfect for salads or aperitivo.
Then you have the 22/24 months, which is tastier and better served with strong wines.
After that, you have the 30, 36, over 40 and even over 70 months! Which is very rare and precious.

The long veil is beautiful, but do you know its story? 📖

A long time ago, when marriages were arranged and the two spouses didn't know eachother, the veil was used to hide the future wife to her fiancee so that he couldn't see her and didn't have any change of heart.

In Roman times, the veil was red, a color that symbolized the couple's fertility, and this is the same reason why in India it's still red.
During the Renaissance, the veil gets avory white, but it's only with the beginning of the XIX century that the traditional chosen color is white, a symbol of purity and candor.

La scarpetta: a ritual for Italians 🥖🍅🥫 Scarpetta is the quintessential expression of spontaneity, freedom, and light-heartedness. Literally “Making the little shoe” is a nice expression that finds its origin in the dialects of southern Italy. ‘Fare la scarpetta’ (literally make the little shoe) means to collect the sauce left in the dish by sweeping it with a piece of bread. You can enjoy it with any sauce, from pesto to ragù, from gravy to salad dressing. The best bread to enjoy the scarpetta is one with a crunchy crust and soft inside like the ciabatta bread (whose name coincidently means ‘sleeper’). However, any bread, or even focaccia, can be used to enjoy this satisfying gesture.
