Signore, questo e’ per voi - Ladies this is for you!

You might heard from me through newsletter or IG stories about this great tour my wife is hosting in September.

Our first tour of this kind happened in 2005, I designed the itinerary and Marnee as the coach, with a program that she created, we took 6 woman to experience the beauty of Tuscany, but it was much more then that. Italy was the classroom where Marnee made them discover their inner beauty and personal transformation. Julie, Leslie, Mason, Eden, Marlene, Allison had major life changes after this tour.

We took a long break, a wedding, start of a new family, start few business, moving not moving, 750 supper clubs but now we live in the classroom and Marnee is back with more passion to share this program with more woman on a very exclusive and intimate group.

The tour will start in Florence, Val D’Orcia and Siena. It’s for all the woman who are seeking more connection, clarity, confidence and purpose.

Spaghetti all’assassina - assasin spaghetti has been the hottest dish in the past 10 years in Bari, created at a popular restaurant(that’s what they say) in Bari.
Spaghetti all’assassina nowadays are easy to find anywhere in the province of Bari. For me this was one of the best: perfect consistency - not too saucy - done with raw pasta start - fresh tomatoes 🍅 added as well - good amount of olive oil enough to lubricate your entire body - perfect peperoncino and charred. Most of all, it was done at a local restaurant in my birth town of Bitritto, a mom and pop place where my family is going for years. It’s the extension of our living room, not pretentious at all, owners and family are always there. There is a sense of comfort that all makes us feel at home. A place you don’t go to feel like a judge in another cooking 🥘 show since nowdays we’re all philosopher of food, and let me tell you for someone who tried few restaurant, we’re so full of sheet most of the time. We love trend, we love talk about food food food and we forget to just relax and eat and shut up sometime.
I loved this dish because I had no intention to write about it but he gave me something enough to feel inspired.
I think finding your mom and pop comfort restaurant will always be cool.

If someone told me 3 months ago I would be taking a selfie with my wife from a balcony of my new home in Monopoli, I would say you’re more than crazy or hallucinating. We both had a dream of living in Italy someday but neither of us knew it it could happen so fast and that someday was now. Then, organically, the plan unveiled. It’s not the usual Italy romance as we both are very aware of the unromantic side of Italy… like burocracy, the art of complaining, no parking, 5 hours in the bank, nothing open 1 to 5, unlimited Italian food but totally limited on every other food.
May be it’s the right time because we’re ready to embrace, accept and enjoy the 5 hours in the bank where we had chance to meet some new people and crank few jokes, make a joke on when is the next marca da bollo stamp, who can park better without touching bumpers, nothing to do from 1 to 5, (ok I’ll have a siesta), impressing my friends cooking Indian food instead of Italian! Life is fun because is unpredictable! We’re open to see what’s next adventure for us in our beautiful Puglia.

Orecchiette is the main pasta that comes from Puglia, particularly in Bari. It's made with durum semolina and water and is the most difficult pasta to make! It seems simple but it takes many hours to learn. Don't worry you'll get lots of practice when I take you to Puglia 😉

This is one of my favourite parts of Italy without a doubt. Whenever I visit my home region of Puglia, me and my family always find time to go to the Amalfi coast. It’s only 2.5 hours away. The view and the food are incredible. For me it is the best simple food of Italy, this is the place where I tasted some of the best pasta dishes in my life. Amalfitani only use a very few ingredients, but they do it so well balanced. I remember having scialatielli pasta in the town of Baiano by the sea, and when I tasted the first bite, I said to my wife, this is what a perfect pasta should taste like, fresh tomatoes, parsley, clams, olive oil, maybe some white wine…..that’s it. Of course, the beautiful view helps with the taste and the experience. So, for this month's supper club, I’m sorry that I can’t deliver the view, but I’ll do my best with the taste!

A series of carefully curated dinner parties to experience collaborative feasts of delicious menus paired with exciting wines & cocktails prepared by some of the city’s most talented chefs.

Our first dinner begins with Chef Massimo Bruno who will prepare for us a symphony of flavours using our Famiglia Zerillo Extra Virgin olive oil. Each dish will be paired with a curated collection of first-class wines & spirits at the beautiful 87 Wade, Toronto on April 12th. What better way to enjoy life than to be able to break bread with friends while supporting a great cause- The Stop.org.
