Why Respira Method?
Today I would like to tell you some words about Respira Method that I practice and teach.
RESPIRA is a method that helps you deconstruct old breathing patterns, let go of the tension. It allows you to rediscover and enjoy your breathing. To liberate your breathing from unhealthy habits.
Breathing is the door to our energy, the bridge that connects the mind and the body. If our body and energy are relaxed, our mind, too, can have little or no tension and really relax. Conscious, mindful breathing, mindful movements of our body, and a correctly and naturally aligned position allow our inner harmony to manifest.⠀
⠀
Respira Method was created by Fabio Andrico (Yantra Yoga and Hatha Yoga instructor, authorised trainer of Yantra Yoga teachers). He was inspired by Yantra Yoga and put his knowledge in to Respira Method. These simple exercises help everyone - regardless of body type, age, capacity or prior experience - to develop a complete breathing pattern.⠀
⠀
We need to understand the importance of breathing in a fluid, smooth, harmonious and natural way. When we breathe deeply, the diaphragm gently massages our organs and stimulates blood flow, promoting health, longevity and well-being. Relaxed breathing relaxes our state of mind.
In Respira method we use the breathing through the nostrils (not mouth!). In daily life, too, breathing through the nose is best. In addition to filtering, warming, and moisturising the air we breathe, it gives our lungs more time to extract oxygen.⠀
⠀
In Respira Method we train the Complete Breathing. It’s an ideal and complete respiratory pattern in which both inhalation and exhalation fluidly combine an abdominal, an intercostal and a thoracic phase. Each phase can be augmented with a dorsal expansion. We train also some type of holding in Respira - like open hold after the inhalation, and empty hold after the exhalation. We study very useful and ancient pranayama - Rhythmic Breathing to coordinate and
Why Yantra Yoga?
Yantra Yoga is designed to coordinate our energy through the synergy of breathing and movement. As a consequence, we become healthier and able to experience a more harmonious and relaxed state of mind.⠀
⠀
Yantra Yoga is highly evolved method of movement and breathing that came to the western world through the tibetan tradition and was introduced in the West by famose Master of Dzogchen Chögyal Namkhai Norbu.⠀
⠀
In Yantra Yoga the quality of the breath, the fluid complete breathing is fondamentale. So it guides us to rediscover more natural flow of our breath.
Yantra Yoga is more than a collection of positions: each Yantra consists of a sequence of seven phases of movement and breathing centering on specifics retentions of the breath. The pose is just a moment in the sequence of movements defined by the respiratory rhythm and the application of one of the 5 types of retention of breath. By practicing the 5 holds we coordinate the various aspects and functions of our energy. Coordinating and freeing our energy has a much more profound ability to help us obtain good health.⠀
⠀
Yantra Yoga can benefit anyone. It’s not only for expert practitioners of yoga, but for anyone - young or old, thin or not, flexible or not so flexible. Regular practice will make a tangible difference in the function of your body, and you will experience significant improvements in your health.⠀
⠀
Yantra Yoga has the capacity to reverse or reduce all chronic conditions by working directly with the muscles, joints, nerves and organs, as well as with the subtle energies to create optimum health and relaxed state of mind.⠀
