Montepulciano is one of the most famous towns plunged in the Chianti Valley, in Tuscany, not far from Pisa, Siena and Arezzo. All the words in the world may not be enough to give you an idea of what your eyes will see once you are driving through this peaceful country. An unreal atmosphere will definitely make you feel like time has stopped. Already inhabited by the Etruscans and Romans Montepulciano is the perfect place whether you need to relax and forget about the everyday life. Right after the entrance a very precious dining room which is furnished with very elegant sofas and connected to the kitchen area that is also provided with a pantry. Both the dining room and the main entrance will give you access to the Music Room where a fantastic piano from Vienna dominate. Hanging from the high ceiling the family crest. The Music Room is connected to the three bedrooms. Each one of them perfectly fits the style of the palace with rich and elegant furniture surrounding the beds. The first one is provided with a French bed and two single beds. The other two rooms are both provided with a king-sized bed and one of them is provided with an en-suite bathroom. The last room of the palace, but not surely the least, is the tearoom behind the glass door. A very intimate spot overlooking the valley, perfect to enjoy a book in the silence of the night. A lot of marvelous churches and for your health we recommend you not to miss “Terme di Montepulciano” where the thermal water will take care of your wellness. A lot of events and parades will take place especially during the Summer. The “Bravio delle Botti”: a race among the eight districts which consists in pushing large wine barrels through the whole town until Piazza Grande.
“Fondazione Cantiere”: performances of opera and classical music.
“Bruscello Festival”: an open-air event lasting 4 days, taking place in front of the Duomo. Capodanno: a big fire taking place in the square on the New Year’s Eve. Everyone will throw in the fire something old. A lot to do and see, a lot to taste and smell…especially when it comes to the food. Tuscan kitchen is very famous but we recommend not to miss “Pici”, a kind of thick spaghetti that might be made “all’aglione” (with garlic) or “alla Montepulciano” (with groundmeat). All combined with a good wine.
