The Fontanelle Cemetery, a unique site in the world and therefore deserves to be visited absolutely.
The Fontanelle Cemetery is a former ossuary that extends over more than 3000 square meters and contains the remains of an unknown number of people.
The cemetery is known because the rite of the "pezzentelle souls", the adoption and care by a Neapolitan of a specific skull of
an abandoned soul (called capuzzella) in
exchange for protection.

Né à Naples en 1942 dans le quartier de Rione Sanità, Annibale Oste entame sa formation à l'Académie des Beaux-Arts où il suit les cours des sculpteurs Emilio Greco et Augusto Perez. Il gagne rapidement en autonomie et expérimente une grande diversité de matériaux tels que du plâtre, du bois, du papier mâché, ou de l’aluminium. Pionnier, il fut par exemple l’un des premiers designers à intégrer dans ses pièces de la fibre de verre.
