The Arizona in Italy program works in collaboration with the University of Arizona and is an institution fully accredited by the Italian Ministry of Education, Universities and Research (Ministero dell'Istruzione, dell'Università e della Ricerca - MIUR). It offers study abroad programming for spring, summer and fall semesters, with a broad variety of courses, including the possibility to join an Archaeological excavation. There will be field trips, museum visits and independent study programs.

Our Story

The Arizona in Orvieto program is located in the beautiful, quaint town of Orvieto, just one hour north of Rome and approximately two hours south of Florence. Started in 2002 by Prof. David Soren, Regents Professor at the UA, it has soon become one of the most popular Study Abroad Programs at the UA. Students can join for the Spring, Summer or Fall semester, taking a variety of courses taught by both UA and Italian faculty, including Archaeology, Anthropology, Architecture, Art History, Classics, Communication, English, Italian, Photojournalism, Psychology, Studio Art.
