All that waiting for summer and now with these temperatures in Puglia we can say that summer definitely has arrived!
Perfect time for some afternoon bbq sessions after chilling in the pool all day. Grill some vegetables, some fresh fish and pour everyone a cold wine and you have yourself a perfect summer day🌞

SUMMER AVAILABILITY☀️🍃
This is the first year that Villa Merlo is available from the start of the season and I really appreciate everyone that is following this journey and even booking your holiday with me!
June, July and August are fully booked and that makes me so happy! I really hope everyone loves it as much as I do🧡

Safe this one for when you go to Puglia!
A family owned restaurant that serves typical Puglian dishes. The walls are covered with photos, drawings and business cards of visitors. It gave a very cosy vibe and you can tell the family is proud of the place. We unfortunately weren’t super hungry so didn’t try as much as we normally would, but would definitely come back another time to try more.

I have to say that the weather has not been super good the last few weeks. And even though Puglia is amazing whether or not it’s warm, if we can share our preference we are definitely choosing sunny days!
Luckily it’s changing now and the forecasts are getting much better. Of course when I leave, but I am happy for the guests😂
Summer is coming and the pizza oven is waiting to be used again!🍕

Masseria Potenti organized a charity lunch for Ukraine and it was an afternoon to remember.
Beautiful venue, amazing food and lovely people. Definitely a Sunday that makes us happy. And besides happy, it makes us even more appreciative and blessed that we are able to live this life. Always grateful🍃🧡

Kitchen essentials! The last few days I wasn’t even in the mood for a cappuccino, but now the fever is finally gone and feeling much more alive again. So back to cappuccino’s to start the day.
P.s. even though we are in Italy, there are still some Dutch details in the house. Like the kitchen towels from the Guess you can’t get the Dutch things completely out of me🌷😂🧡

I just arrived in Bologna and tomorrow final day of the roadtrip. On my way to Puglia🍃
For anyone going or considering Puglia I know plane is (often) much faster and the airport only 30 min from Villa Merlo, butttt adding a roadtrip to your stay might not be too bad either! Depending where you come from of course, but there are always many nice places to spend some extra time or just driving through different countries and sceneries can be a nice adventure!

Who loves a bit of exercise during their holidays!? I mostly talk about eating and drinking, which of course is the most fun to do, but we all need a bit of balance in our lives. Therefore I also made sure that you have the option to be a bit more active at Villa Merlo. A bit of yoga on the roof perhaps? It’s vacation so make sure you only do what you really want to do!
