Why Villa Banksy ?

I spent my entire childhood and later adolescence in this house.
It was my incredible holiday place just a few steps from the sea . The place to make incredible discoveries from everything because the area is full of history.
Behind it, a few minutes' walk away, there are graffiti from the Upper Palaeolithic period,
The whole mountain above Villa Banksy is rich in history, some caves have drawings on the walls from the Phoenician period in Sicily. There are only two caves in the whole of Europe that have graffiti from the Upper Palaeolithic period, one of which is behind that crown of stones in the direction of Mondello, which is why in 2015 this area, which is part of the Monte Pellegrino natural park, became a UNESCO heritage site.

The Addaura Caves are a set of three natural grottoes located on the northeast side of Monte Pellegrino in Sicily, Italy. The caves, which are believed to date back to the late Neolithic period, contain some of the oldest and most well-preserved prehistoric rock art in the world.

The Addaura Caves were first discovered in the late 19th century, when a local shepherd stumbled upon the entrance of the largest cave. The caves were later explored and studied in the early 20th century by Italian archaeologist Paolo Orsi, who identified the presence of prehistoric rock art. The art, which is estimated to date back to between 5,000 and 8,000 BCE, consists of a series of engraved figures of human figures, animals, and geometric shapes.

The Addaura Caves are one of the most important archaeological sites in Sicily, and are considered to be of great cultural and historical significance. The caves were designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2015, and are open to the public for guided tours.
