I may be born Southern Italian, But as the place where I live and also the gastronomic food capital of Italy, Parma creates an excitement in my heart that is difficult to replicate. The valleys that surround Parma are dotted with the magnificent Castles of the Duchy, a testament to the wealth and Nobility that one dominated the lands. Today we visit the most grandeur of them all, Castello di Torrechiara, and stop for some traditional lunch of Tortelli and gnocco fritto in the Castle Locanda. No trip to Parma is complete without an exclusive visit to a prosciutto house. The musty and sweet smell that bombards the senses as you enter the cellars is in itself a unique experience forever to be remembered. Tonight we hit the very chick and happening vibes of Via Farini for the favourite past time of the Parmigiane, “Aperitivo”… Spritz in hand, live music on the pass, and lots of local culinary delights, this is my favourite way to dine in Parma
