🌟An Italian Christmas tradition is the nativity scene, which St. Francis wanted about 800 years ago.

Along the streets of the city of Fano, during the Christmas holidays, you can admire many of them and all different, created by the imagination of the citizens!
Then there is a unique, mechanical one, full of scenes celebrating different moments from the Bible and the birth of Christ.
Here the 500 small statues of the different characters come to life with real, truly incredible movements.
It is located in one of the city's many fascinating and historic buildings, and if you wish, you can visit it during our tour in Northern Marche!

🎄Do you know the most typical Christmas dishes in Le Marche? 🍛
During these joyful days, the inhabitants of the large villages and small hamlets of the region prepare many delicacies in their kitchens... but between the north and the south there are also very different traditions when it comes to Christmas food:
In the north you can eat "cappelletti in brodo", a kind of tortellini, and "pasticciata", a veal roast.
In the south you'll find "vincisgrassi", a richer lasagne, and "fritto misto all'Ascolana"... a tasty mix of fried vegetables, stuffed olives, sweet cremini and much more!

📍Mark & Ruth have chosen Curiousitalia to organize their trip to Italy, thanks to the word of mouth of Anne and Colleen 💖, two of our favourite ladies who travelled with us in 2022 from USA! 🇺🇸

This couple arrived in Belluno yesterday and
started picking wild herbs in the kitchen garden of the agriturismo we selected for them, together with the kind owners!

After the Veneto region, they will continue towards Emilia Romagna, our Le Marche region and Abruzzo... a long journey full of adventures!
