Our Story
Garfagnana Adventures started operations back in 2001... so it has been a long time already. We started out as tour guides working around the world and then found ourselves in Tuscany guiding tours in the late 90’s.... and then ended up staying !
Since 1999, we operate MTB tours, road bike and trekking in Tuscany and all over Italy,, from the Island of Elba to chianti and the Val D'Orcia, Umbria, Veneto, Dolomites, Liguria and more.....
Our road biking tours take in Classic Tuscany, a Classic Coast to Coast route across Italy from Pesaro to Orbatello... and routes in the Dolomites for classic passes and more ! We also do easier tours with easy routes mixed in with more cultural time and tastings.
Trekking tours, started initially in the area of the Garfagnana in Northern Tuscany, an area 1 hour north of the city of Lucca... off the beaten track... but an area of outstanding natualk beauty, perfect for trekking, mountain biking and more... one is in Tuscany, but sees none of the tourists at all ! Here we have 2 mountain ranges, the Alpi Apuane or Marble Mountains, and the Appennines... Perfect for trekking to the highest peak in Tuscany at 2054 or easy lower level rambles.
