Our home in the beautiful Sabina area of Italy, just outside Rome, is available for rent. Villa degli Armeni is a fantastically romantic retreat for couples, but can sleep up to 7 people in 3 bedrooms and a sofabed. The location is, literally, breathtaking: perched 500m up on the side of the mountain commanding views across the picturesque rolling hills of the Sabina, distant mountains, the Tiber

Valley and on to Rome itself, on a clear day you can see the Dome of St. The villa is surrounded by forest and enjoys total peace, quiet and privacy. It’s a perfect place to relax and unwind, but if you want to get out and do some sightseeing Rome is under an hour away by train. A 25 minute drive will get you to one of Italy’s main motorways, with Tuscany about 1 hour further to the North; Naples and Pompei 2.5 hours to the south. Umbria is just next door and the Sabina area itself offers many delightful little villages to explore, each more charming than the last. The villa itself was built in the 1960s and retains many original mid century features like the stone fireplace, lofty ceilings, and ironwork. There’s an abundance of windows to let in natural light and to look out on the forest and spectacular views. A large porch on the front and side of the house provides plenty of space for relaxing and for al fresco dining. There are 2 large double bedrooms: the one at the front has 3 arched windows with incredible views to wake up to. The second double bedroom looks out onto the tree canopy and has it’s own ensuite bathroom (with bath) and terrace, it can be set up with a double bed or two singles, and there is a small sofa which converts to a single bed if needed. In between is a smaller room with bunk beds, also opening onto the terrace, and another bathroom with a shower. The large living and dining room is a cool and comfortable retreat in the summer and the cosy heart of the house in the cooler months, with its stone fireplace. Connected to the living room by double doors is another sitting room and studio, the sofa in here folds out to provide a small double bed if needed. The spacious kitchen is equipped with dishwasher, microwave and state of the art oven, granite worktops, small table and everything you’ll need to cook with. Outside on the porch and balcony you’ll find tables and chairs for al fresco dining, deckchairs, a sofa and lounger. Below the house is a grassy area bordering on the forest with another large table. In the summer months we put up the frame pool, it’s about 4.5 metres across and while hardly olympic size it’s perfect for kids to splash in or for a leisurely float as you contemplate the infinite blue of an Italian sky. While staying at the house feel free to use our collection of books, DVDs, board games and toys. There’s a TV with free-to-view satellite channels and wi-fi. Sleeps: 2-7 people
Bedrooms: 3
Bathrooms: 2
Amenities: ceiling fans, washing machine, dishwasher, hob, oven, microwave, fridge freezer, kettle, toaster, satellite tv, wi-fi, heating

🦌️ LE DOLINE CARSICHE DEI MONTI SABINI
Guida Elisa Pellirossi
