You'll encounter small frescoed churches, hidden local farms, and more spectacular views of Italy's gorgeous Liguria. Access to Portofino can be limited as the roads are narrow and tight. In the summer months, traffic can be an impediment. It's important to plan ahead. We can help you with all the logistics. In the summer months, if the road to Porofino is blocked by traffic officers due to lack of parking, you can wave and tell the police that you are staying at Villa Ciani and they will let you pass! There is no private parking space available, Portofino is a pedestrian only village. There is one paid parking area, and the charges are approx. 24 Euros per day. Another important note is that the property has 2 very steep flights of stairs!
