🇺🇸Nice to meet you, I am Laura and this picture has been taken this summer from our balcony in Positano just right before my new life started. ✈️⭐️

I am your first contact when you ask info or you book our holiday homes and I will support you until the check in. From that point on, you will be supported by the Positanese team: Daniele and Francesca.👫

Yes, because the big change made me move far away from my places.

In August 2021 I moved with my husband and my 2 children in Paris!

And now I feel just like you, my positano lovers friends… can’ t wait to go back … looking at the coast from my balcony enjoying a glass of wine at sunset.

🇬🇧Stopping in Pompei on the way to Positano? Great idea!
You only need
2 and a half hours and
our tips to get the best out of this experience at Scavi di Pompei:

1️⃣ the entrance: choose one of two having the luggage deposit (Porta Marina and Piazza Esedra)
2️⃣ take a lot of water with you ( there is no bar inside), a hat or an umbrella for the shadow and suncream
3️⃣ take a guide! This is a must to understand what was going on in Pompei that terrible day (79 AC)

E con i nostri “tip” potrai goderti al massimo questa incredibile esperienza :
1️⃣ da dove entrare: gli scavi dispongono di tre entrate. Scegli quelle che hanno il deposito bagagli (Porta Marina e Piazza Esedra)
2️⃣ cosa portare: all’ interno non ci sono punti di ristoro quindi è consigliabile portare con se’ pranzo al sacco, tanta acqua, cappellino e crema solare
3️⃣ gli scavi: un must è affidarsi ad una guida che potrà aiutarti nella scelta del percorso e ti racconterà nel dettaglio come si viveva nel 79 AC, dopo la terribile notte

We have a family tradition for Pasquetta, the day after Pasqua 🐣: the Pastiera challenge 👩🏻‍🍳
How does it work?

🐣We gather all together, family and friends , in Positano.

✌️Friends and young member of the family take Pastiera with them

🥧🥧🥧 The Pastiera must be homemade!

We place all Pastieras on a long table and the old members of the family are the jury of the challenge. They vote the best Pastiera.

🏆The prize: A huge chocolate egg gifted by the Sasso family! 💝

I must admit that I have never won so far 😅

This is Fornillo beach:
💍where my husband asked me to marry him
🐥🌊where my daughter had her first swim
⛱📖where my best time is in the afternoon when the sun goes behind the mountains and I can enjoy the sea breeze lying on my sunchair.

These are my reasons for choosing Fornillo, but there are many others:

▶️ to experience a more authentic Positano surrounded by locals
▶️ to have a brunch or aperitivo right on the beach
▶️ because it is less expensive: sunchairs cost less than on the main beach and you can also choose to lie on the free beach (spiaggia libera)

Do you prefer lying down on big or small beaches?

🇮🇹 Ecco Fornillo:

💍 la spiaggia dove mio marito mi ha chiesto di sposarlo
🐥🏊🏻‍♀️ dove mia figlia ha nuotato per la prima volta
⛱📖 il mio momento preferito è quando cala il sole e io posso leggere un libro accompagnata da una profumata brezza marina

Ecco perché Fornillo per me è speciale, ma c’ è di più:

▶️ è la spiaggia dei positanesi e quindi più riservata e autentica
▶️ per un brunch o un pranzo in spiaggia
▶️ è la spiaggia più economico a Positano: sedie ed ombrelloni costano di meno rispetto alla spiaggia grande e si può scegliere anche di andare sulla spiaggia libera che in alcune ore del giorno regala anche un po’ di ombra.

Here is Pulcinella! 🎭 Every Neapolitan child knows about him and his jokes. He is a lazy servant tending to show his happiness by dancing and shouting 📣 His way of walking and gesticulating is a caricature of the Neapolitan way of doing.
He likes living day by day, pretending to be poor or rich 🤑 or a thief depending on the situation. But Pulcinella is much more than a carnival mask : he represents the Neapolitans’ lower classes’ condition who have been humiliated by rich people. He delivers a very strong social message 💪 through his jokes. “Il segreto di Pulcinella” is an expression referring to a secret that is not a secret at all - it’s an open secret 🤫. Have you already heard about this Neapolitan mask? Yes or not? Buon carnevale 🎭🎭🎭
Ecco Pulcinella! Tutti i bambini napoletani lo adorano e vanno matti per i suoi scherzi. È un servitore pigro e sfaticato che trascorre la sua giornata ballando e urlando in dialetto napoletano. Il suo bizzarro modo di camminare e i suoi gesti non sono altro che la caricatura del modo di fare dei napoletani.
Vive alla giornata e a seconda delle occasioni è povero, ricco o un ladruncolo. Ma Pulcinella è molto di più di una semplice maschera di carnevale: rappresenta la condizione delle classi sociali più deboli che subiscono continue angherie ed umiliazioni dai ricchi. Con i suoi scherzi e le sue battute riesce a comunicare un messaggio sociale molto forte. “Il Segreto di Pulcinella” è un modo di dire che vuol significare un segreto, che nonostante si sia provato a nascondere, è ormai noto a tutti.

Ciao, I am Daniele and I am the founder of A Casa dei Sasso 🤚🏻 Positano was my first love... and you know you never forget your first love 💍 but don’t tell my wife 🤫I am in charge of making sure that everything is perfect before our guests arrive 💪My favourite spot in Positano is my kitchen 👨‍🍳 sea view inspires me every time I cook for my guests.
