Good morning! This is a view of the picturesque Mercatale Bridge from the cycle path "Gino Bartali". The bridge was completely rebuilt in the same style of the medieval Porta Mercatale after the second world war. Happy Mother's day and a have a great Sunday too!

Good evening to all 👋 from Piazza Duomo, do you know?

There used to be an octagonal baptistery dedicated to St John the Baptist in the square. Where it was located? Just in front of the façade of the church.

The square was the scene of the ancient game of the Palla Grossa and the site of markets and religious feasts as the display of the sacred belt (Every 8th of September) in the past.

Happy Saint Anthony Day's to all!
This is the glazed terracotta lunette by Andrea della Robbia (1492) with Saint Anthony an two angels originally made for the Oratory of Saint Anthony the abbott in Piazza Sant'Antonino in Prato! You can admire the original lunette at the Palazzo Pretorio Museum. Beautiful isn't it?
