Yesterday, with our great guide Marco, we explored key sites of Operation Husky (July 9-10, 1943), the Allied landings in .

Following Route SS 115, from Vittoria to , we visited bunkers and casemates built to defend the coast. From to Castelluccio in , through Butera and Desusino, we retraced history in a bewitching landscape where memory still lingers.
