The village of Riomaggiore has shops, bars and restaurants, banking facilities and a pharmacy. Nearby activities include hiking the Cinque Terre, mountain biking, climbing, snorkeling, scuba diving and kayaking. Riomaggiore is a five minute train ride to La Spezia, the nearest big city. Pisa, Lucca, the marble quarries of Carrara, Portofino, and Genoa are all easy day trips. $2500 US per week, three night minimum. Credit cards accepted.
