Where to see the best preserved ANCIENT GREEK TEMPLES? In ITALY!!! In the southern Italy and on the island of SICILY Greeks founded their colonies “MAGNA GRAECIA”

PAESTUM, originally POSEIDONIA, as it was dedicated by Greeks to Poseidon, is famous for its imposing temples, the most ancient of which is more than 2500 years old!

PAESTUM is just an hour and half away from Naples but due to the immense fame of Pompei, Amalfi coast and Capri island, this archeological site is less visited by foreign visitors in spite of its unique character and treasures😊 For me, working in a crowd, it is actually an advantage not to be in a huge human flow at least during my holidays😅 that’s why I highly recommend this place to all people who feel the same and would love to see something very special 😊
I always suggest my tourists taking a guided tour while visiting an archeological site, it makes your experience totally different and unforgettable! Last time I was in Paestum 7 years ago we didn’t have a tour, as we are guides and know a lot😅 but I should admit that this time visiting PAESTUM with a guide was just fantastic! Discovering some exciting details, having a chance to ask your guide a question is just priceless!
Of course you have to be lucky to find an enthusiastic guide eager to share and answer your questions and this time with our guide Donatella we were lucky😊

The trip to Paestum was one of the highlights of this summer for me, the whole experience was just WOW, not only its cultural aspect😊

Our stay in the cozy with a swimming pool to recover from the heat 🤪 made it even more special ❤️

Having a pizza at with its pleasant atmosphere was also an important ingredient of our trip😊

We’ll definitely be back to explore more!

HOW TO ENJOY VATICAN MUSEUMS IN SUMMER?

•avoid 9 AM 10 AM tours, the maximum of the crowd🤪

•the best entrance time to have a less crowded experience:
-8 AM sharp ❗️
-from 11 AM to 1 PM
-4 PM

•bring a fan and enough water to survive in the spaces with no A/C🥵

•take a guided tour to go directly from the Sistine Chapel to St. Peter’s basilica

•take a private guided tour for the best experience tailored to your interests/needs & to see some hidden spaces😉

The CHRIST of PORTLLIGAT by SALVADOR DALÌ in Rome
You can see it in the church of Rome San Marcello al Corso until June 25th, FREE ENTRANCE 😉
My personal advice: avoid the weekends to appreciate the painting with no crowds around😊
After I visited Dali’s places I have a different perception of his paintings, and it’s a great feeling to recognise the landscapes of Port Lligat in his works 😍

PORT LLIGAT, the residence of Salvador DALI & GALA for over 50 years

ПОРТ ЛЬИГАТ, дом-музей Сальвадора Дали, где они с Гала прожили более 50 лет, место с невероятной атмосферой прямо на берегу моря, все утопает в зелени😍 но попали мы туда уже после закрытия, билетов все равно не было, их нужно брать заранее, а когда летишь куда-то спонтанно, как я в этот раз, то получается именно так… зато после закрытия никого вокруг, можно побродить по берегу и полюбоваться пейзажами, вдохновлявшими Дали❤️

Я пообещала себе вернуться в Порт Льигат, остановиться в несезон на пару дней, пойти в гости к Дали с самого утра без толпы и получше проникнуться атмосферой мест его картин😊 доехать до соседнего симпатичного городка КАДАКЕС, в котором Дали проводил каждое лето на даче родителей😊мы и туда в этот раз заехали, но в самую жару и толпу, поэтому сбежали😅
В следующий раз я уже знаю, что хочу посмотреть, и обязательно возьму с собой свою сестру, с которой мы вместе читали книги про Дали и Гала😊

Мне конечно никто не поверит, но я не одевалась специально под цвет дома Дали😅 я не знала, что там синие двери😃 не люблю заранее смотреть фотографии мест, куда еду впервые (за исключением всемирно известных, которые хочешь ты того или нет, все рано увидишь:) На мне майка, купленная в родном городе Дали, на ней на испанском написана его цитата о самом себе: SOY UN SER ABSURDAMENTE ÚNICO, я абсурдно уникальное существо😃

FIGUERES, the native place of Salvador Dali ❤️
Мечта моей юности наконец сбылась: я побывала на родине Сальвадора Дали😊 увидела дом, в котором родился Дали, не самый известный и посещаемый музей (отсутствию толп я была безумно рада😀) с мультимедийным погружением в жизнь художника через интереснейшие фото, видео и интервью!
И конечно же я побывала в известном музее-театре с сюрреалистическими творениями Дали, именно здесь под куполом и похоронен гений сюрреализма!
Начало и конец жизни Дали - это город Фигерас❤️

Когда-то в юном возрасте, живя в Минске, я взахлеб читала биографии художников и мечтала оказаться в этих местах 😍 первым в списке был Микеланджело😊я выучила итальянский и добралась до Италии, Флоренции и Рима😉 проживая в Италии, уже стало легче добраться и до всех остальных по списку: Ван Гог, Мане, Моне, Рубенс, Рембрандт… вот и подошла очередь Дали✅ теперь на очереди Поль Гоген, далековато, правда, и дороговато лететь на Таити😅
но, как говорится, никогда не говори «никогда»😊🤞

YUANYANG RICE TERRACES❤️UNESCO world heritage site😉 the highlight of my Chinese trip❤️

More than 100 square km of rice terraces with a system of channels supplying them with water! all this created more than a thousand years ago 😯 Still today the local minorities HANI and YI dressed with their traditional clothes work here using their own hands and buffalos instead of machines and live in the picturesque villages with mushroom-like houses!

Coming here from the 4 million city of Kunming has been a great experience and change of pace😊 waking up with the roosters, enjoying the sunrises, hiking around the terraces😍 Seems that the time has stopped here❤️ what a contrast with the skyscrapers and all the progress of China!

This destination was recommended to me by the local who was renting the rooms in Kunming and turned out to be a guide 😅 the advice of the locals and especially the guides is priceless😉😊 it’s been actually a very good luck to find someone who speaks English in this part of China and to have a conversation without the translator in the phone😅The girl renting the rooms in the village of the rice terraces also spoke perfect English, was eager to share hiking itineraries, cooked excellent local food and was an excellent company, discussing movies, music and different aspects of life❤️

CHINESE NEW YEAR 2024 🔥

I love pleasant surprises and during my first Asian trip there were lots of them😊:

•To be in the midst of the Chinese New Year celebrations, when you don’t even think about it while booking the tickets😅 it’s just that for other dates the tickets were much more expensive 🙃

•to fly to the city of Kunming, which you know nothing about, just for the convenience of the itinerary to the south of Asia, and this place turns out to be the city of eternal spring, my favorite season with the ideal temperature😍

•to come to the local park to observe the seagulls from Siberia spending winter time in this mild climate😊and end up in a tulip paradise 🌷🌷🌷 and see countless happy faces of the locals enjoying their new year holidays and the beauty around ❤️

• and finally to feel like an “exotic” individual with whom they want to take pictures for the local social networks using surreal filters 😁😁😁

Photos were taken on February 13, 2024, during the first week of the Chinese New Year, when the whole country is on a long holiday 😍 one of the brightest memories of this Asian adventure ❤️

what I mention during my tours in Hadrian’s villa in Tivoli as a source of inspiration for its architecture… now it all makes much more sense 😊
what you see on the pictures and read about, you still imagine it in your own way and it’s so exciting when you get in touch with it 😍
I could not imagine Acropolis to be so imposing and breathtaking ❤️ these views❤️
Just asking myself why I didn’t visit Athens before😁 but feeling so happy that I finally did😍

Лето отпускать в этом году совсем не хочется😊 Конец октября, а в Риме все еще тепло (+20/+23), но на Сицилии еще теплее😁 аж 30 градусов!!!

Всего 2 дня «отпуска», но красивые и теплые места заряжают, расслабляют и наполняют эмоциями😍 Чувствую себя полной сил и позитива, готовой к новому рабочему марафону💪

Особое счастье увидеть картины любимого художника ANTONELLO DA MESSINA в музеях Палермо и Чефалу, без искусства мои каникулы неполноценны😊

NEVER ENDING SUMMER 2023🌞🌅
October 12th, the temperature is almost 30 degrees🙃
Took the advantage of a break during the week to enjoy the beach with no people, to swim and to visit some archaeological sites nearby😊

In harmony with the ENGLISH GARDEN of the ROYAL PALACE OF CASERTA 🌱🌿🪷
The English garden has been a pleasant surprise for me, something really unexpected, as what you actually always see of Caserta in books, internet and postcards is the main garden with its magnificent fountains.
The green English garden impressed me by the awe as variety of trees and plants, its silent corners to contemplate nature and relax in a shade😍

THE ROYAL PALACE & GARDENS OF CASERTA or the so-called ITALIAN VERSALLES

The Royal residence of the kings of Naples, one of the world biggest palaces with its 1200 rooms🙃 luckily not all of them are available for visit😅otherwise you would never end🤪
The plan was to visit Caserta in autumn in order to avoid the heat and the crowds, but who could ever imagine a 30 degree heat and the sky with not a single cloud in October 😅 Immense gardens and beautiful fountains😍, fantastic ❤️ if not for the lack of shade🙃
It’s funny that last time I visited Caserta 10 years ago and it was raining so much that we could see the gardens just from the shuttle bus! No golden middle😅 But at least this time I could enjoy the amazing colours and reflections of water😍

WORLD TOURISM DAY🌎

I work in tourism and I love to be a tourist😊 My life wouldn’t be happy and complete without travelling, that’s the truth!

These are some unedited pictures from my numerous trips to MOROCCO, the country where I definitely feel like a tourist, behave like a tourist🤪 and where I had lots of unforgettable experiences:
1️⃣ Chefchaouen, the famous Blue City, taking pictures wearing a Moroccan caftan
2️⃣The trip to SAHARA, to enjoy the colours of the desert at the sunset and the sky full of stars❤️
3️⃣Riding a camel along the ocean in my beloved ESSAOUIRA
4️⃣ Staying in the beautiful local hotels called RIAD
5️⃣Assisting the leather production in FEZ and smelling the mint in order not to faint because of the stench 🙃
6️⃣ Feeding the monkeys of the Atlas Mountains on the way to Sahara
7️⃣Visiting the “Moroccan Hollywood”the studios where lots of movies were shot
8️⃣Visiting the ruins of the Ancient Roman city VOLUBILIS and meeting wonderful people from Hong Kong and Portugal on our tour
9️⃣Walking along the streets of OUARZAZATE, the place I fell in love with❤️
1️⃣0️⃣ Having lunch in a Berber house

I took various tours in Morocco, but an essential part of my trips was also about the exploration of different aspects of this country❤️ Speaking French, Spanish, English and just a bit of Arabic helped me really a lot to get in touch with the locals, appreciate their generosity and hospitality 😊 languages connect people of different cultures and make the travelling experience much different😉

An amazing working day in Tivoli❤️

I love my job and I am lucky to meet wonderful people, so very often my working days are full of fun and beauty❤️ that’s exactly the way I feel😍 so happy to be a guide, so grateful to be surrounded by the beauty of this country 🇮🇹❤️

Just one more unforgettable day in Tivoli:

•a stroll along the old narrow streets
•buying figs and grapes at the local market place from the farmers, washing the fruit in the fountain and eating it 😋
•having a delicious lunch in the spectacular restaurant with the remains of the ancient Roman temples
•and of course visiting the magnificent Villa D’Este❤️

Creating an experience and unforgettable impressions is an important part of my job😉

С днем рождения, АВГУСТ!
23 сентября 63 года до н.э. родился первый император Рима Октавиан Август. В его день рождения, который приходится на день осеннего равноденствия, тень египетского обелиска огромных солнечных часов на Марсовом поле падала прямо на воздвигнутый по его приказу Алтарь мира (ARA PACIS AUGUSTAE)

Тот самый обелиск на сегодня можно увидеть на площади Монтечиторио перед зданием палаты депутатов итальянского парламента.

Алтарь мира тоже сохранился и находится вдоль набережной Тибра внутри современной структуры по проекту американского архитектора Ричарда Майера.

Глава истории древнего Рима про переход от республики к империи (от Юлия Цезаря к Октавианy Августу) наверняка самая известная и насыщенная событиями, поэтому была всегда любима писателями, а потом и режиссерами😊 я её тоже очень люблю и на экскурсии «Античный Рим» мы ее подробно обсуждаем😊

Известный современный сериал «Рим» посвящен именно этому периоду римской истории и снимали его в Риме на киностудии CINECITTÀ 😉

The BIG BENCH with an amazing view❤️

A very nice experience that makes you feel like a kid: sitting on a bench dangling your legs with no chance to touch the ground😊

Enjoying the mountainous landscape and listening to cicadas’ singing 😍 away from the big cities, away from the crowds and the heat, close to the nature 💚that’s the way I love it❤️

Посидеть на гигантской скамейке и вновь почувствовать себя ребенком, болтая ногами, не доставая до земли😍 а вокруг ни души😊 горы, облака, пение цикад 💚всегда приятно выбраться за пределы большого города и подзарядиться энергией природы💚

More than 200 amphitheatres have been discovered across the area of what used to be the Roman Empire! PANEM ET CIRCENSES/BREAD AND CIRCUSES😉

If in the places where I travel there are some Roman ruins, I never miss them! Being a guide in Rome for me it’s a must to explore different corners of the Roman Empire😁 there is always something to discover

Дворец императора Диоклетиана (Сплит, Хорватия) стал для меня приятным открытием😊
В нем как в Вечном Риме можно прочувствовать сплетение эпох и спустя 1700 лет восхищаться невероятной архитектурой! Когда-то здесь нашли приют переселенцы из соседнего города, переделав и достроив всё в соответствии с новыми нуждами. Так мавзолей императора стал собором, языческий храм крестильней, остальные помещения многоквартирными домами и складами! На сегодня в бывшем императорском дворце проживает около 3 тысяч человек, повсюду рестораны, отели, магазины, жизнь кипит!

А представить роскошь дворца в императорскую эпоху и буквально перенестись в прошлое помогают современные технологии виртуальной реальности : одеваешь очки и попадаешь в гости к императору!

Ну и не могу не поделиться некоторыми фактами про владельца дворца.
Диоклетиан был совсем без роду и племени: он был внуком раба, self-made man, добившийся всего своими военными успехами.
Он не просто стал императором, а даже навел порядок в огромной и очень кризисной на тот момент Римской империи. Именно он заложил основы Тетрархии (правление четырех), поделив власть между 2 «Августами» и их 2 помощниками «Цезарями». При этом он разделил империю на Западную и Восточную.
