We would like to introduce you to another important member of our team, Marilisa Anna Gianatiempo. One of our exceptional travel designers, Marilisa, is based in Rome, Italy, but was raised between Northern New Jersey and a small town near Naples, Italy, close to Pompeii and the Amalfi Coast. She completed her primary and secondary education in the United States before finishing her university studies in both countries.Italy is not only her home but also her greatest passion. There is nothing she enjoys more than sharing the beauty and richness of her country with people from around the world through bespoke Italian itineraries. When she’s not crafting unforgettable travel experiences, Marilisa further deepens her expertise by traveling, exploring museums, attending cultural events, and indulging in the art of Italian cooking. In her free time, she enjoys reading, staying active, and cherishing moments with her wonderful family, dear friends, and her adorable cat.

Michelangelo and the “Tondo Doni” The “Tondo Doni” is the only panel painting definitively attributed to Michelangelo, housed in the renowned Uffizi Gallery in Florence.
Commissioned by Agnolo Doni, a Florentine merchant, to celebrate his 1504 marriage to Maddalena Strozzi, the painting depicts the Holy Family in a monumental and dynamic composition. Inspired by Hellenistic sculptures, it features serpentine movements and a pyramidal structure reminiscent of an animated dome.
Behind the Holy Family are n**e figures representing pagan humanity, separated from the sacred group by a low wall symbolizing original sin.
The frame, likely designed by Michelangelo, is a masterpiece of Florentine woodcarving, adorned with grotesques, prophets, and the heraldic symbols of the Strozzi family.
This exceptional work embodies the cultural flourishing of the Florentine Renaissance and Michelangelo’s timeless genius.
