The Miliarium Aureum, or Golden Milestone, was a monument, probably of marble or gilded bronze, erected by the Emperor Caesar Augustus near the Temple of Saturn in the central Forum of Ancient Rome. All roads were considered to begin at this monument and all distances in the Roman Empire were measured relative to it. Roman history, art, archeology, and architecture. Amongst us are people who have found a common ground to express and share their passion for Rome and all it represents. Truly, completely different roads have lead us to Rome, where we met, and decided to create a new way of understanding this city for those who come and wish to visit it for real.
