Yesterday was nothing short of spectacular! My team and I were privileged to join an exclusive gathering alongside our esteemed partners at Trenitalia Gruppo Ferrovie della Stato celebrating their remarkable collaboration with Lonely Planet Italia we have to say that we were deeply moved by their steadfast commitment to a sustainable future, marked by their significant investments in next-generation trains that greatly reduce CO₂ emissions, making travel more eco-friendly than ever before.

Trenitalia has been innovating in technology for quite some time; they are also leading the way in off-the-grid tourism, crafting new train routes that connect travelers to Italy's hidden hamlets. This initiative aligns seamlessly with Selected Tours Italy’s mission: to offer journeys that go beyond the iconic cities of Venice, Florence, Rome, and the Amalfi Coast, introducing our travelers to exclusive gems that were once elusive.

Our day was further enriched by a visit to Fondazione FS Italiane historical archives, which date back to the 1880s, showcasing a rich heritage that resonates with history enthusiasts. As I wandered through these storied halls in Villa Patrizi, a wave of excitement washed over me at the thought of deepening our collaboration with Fondazione FS Italiane to open these remarkable archives to our guests. I would also like to take this opportunity to express my heartfelt gratitude to Mrs. Maria Giaconia for her unwavering dedication in fostering numerous collaborations and initiatives. Her passion for developing new train routes is truly inspiring. In a country where actionable plans can often be overshadowed by endless discussions, witnessing tangible progress is a genuine honor.

From the moment the event commenced, the atmosphere was electric with enthusiasm and commitment. I found myself completely engrossed, attending one inspiring conference after another. The speakers eloquently addressed a myriad of topics, innovative ideas and heartfelt insights on sustainable travel, seamlessly intertwining environmental stewardship with our daily lives. It was impossible not to be moved by the collective passion and vision shared throughout the sessions.

One of the most compelling aspects of the event was the deep reverence for the Italian spirit and the unwavering respect for artisanal craftsmanship.
