Ponte Sisto is the beautiful pedestrian bridge that connects Trastevere to the rest of the Eternal City.
Trastevere is the name of the neighborhood where is located 😃
This name is a special one, because it explains its location: Tras-Tevere means "Across-the Tiber"; come to visit Trastevere, you just need to cross the river of Rome, enjoying the outstanding panoramic view from Ponte Sisto 😉
Ponte Sisto - The bridge build by the Pope Sisto IV was inaugurated in 1479; exactly 5 centuries before the year when I was born. Excellent timing :)
