The 12th GREAT PARADE in memory of Pope Benedict XVI, Papa della Musica, took place from May 10th to 12th and began with the participation of around 500 musicians in the Holy Mass at St. Peter's Basilica, followed by a procession through the Vatican Gardens to the Lourdes Grotto.
Other highlights of the event were the Parade through the streets of the Eternal City, the performance of the European Hymn by all the bands at St. Peter's Square, the farewell dinner with good food and music and the participation in the Angelus Prayer with the Holy Father. An unforgettable experience!!!
XII. Grosse Rom-Parade
Die XII. Große Rom-Parade endete mit der Teilnahme am Angelusgebet auf dem Petersplatz, bei dem der Heilige Vater einen besonderen Gruß an alle Musikkapellen und Trachtengruppen richtete.
Die XII. Grosse Rom-Parade fand am Samstag, den 11. Mai entlang der Strassen der Ewigen Stadt statt, an der rund 500 Musiker aus Deutschland und Österreich teilnahmen. Die Veranstaltung endete mit der Aufführung der Europahymne durch alle Musikkapellen unter der Leitung von Thomas Kindl auf dem Platz vor dem Petersdom.
