This happened on my way to Proceno: had been looking at wonderful places all day and I was blessed one more time with this beautiful sunset on Bolsena Lake. We have the greatest job in the world: see and feel beauty, be inspired and find incredible places and people to share these wonderful emotions with our guests!

So lucky to have such a friend/colleague/university pal to take me around! We are here in Monterano and we're considering a horseback ride to the abandoned town, she even brought some delicious pizza with pecorino cheese and some 123473 calories fried chocolate buns for our pic nic by the beautiful church and.... we didn't stop there!

The 4 of us in there, can you believe it? Friday morning and probably thousands of people jammed between Colosseum and Vatican while we quietly visited this incredible place, in and out, being the only ones there... plus a cleaner mopping the floor!

Since my parents bought a house in Proceno, exactly between the three regions of Lazio, Umbria and Toscana I have been wondering around the area. I never thought I would find so many incredible places, all close to each other, between 15 and 50 mins drive there are villages, archaeological ruins, towns, Renaissance villas, gardens, forests, but also wineries, olive oil farms, artisans...this area is magical and I really hope we will be able convince ant least some of our guests to abandon the so called "highlights" to walk through the same streets and paths and wonder, the same way I have, to this incredible piece of land and meet the incredible people that live here ❤️.

I love this place and I find it unbelievable that NO ONE has ever heard of it nor is interested in seeing it. One of the best, most impressive, best preserved, examples of Renaissance life, art and architecture in the world. THIS is a MUST SEE!

Sooo my parents bought a house on the outskirts of this lovely village: Proceno. It is exactly between 3 regions, Lazio, Umbria and Toscana. It was the first time I actually took the time to stroll through it. We stopped at the little grocery store, then a coffee, made friends with anyone walking by (not many)...such a great difference from the tough, noisy, quick city life I am used to. Really enjoying this relaxing time with family.

I ❤️ Spello! How can a Region such as Umbria be overlooked? This is Spello, with its flowrs and stone buildings, with the Roman gate and its tiny streets that either go up or down (forget a flat walk!). Such a charming little place.

Could not find this INCREDIBLE place without the expertise of a local. Not in the city center, not well indicated, you either know the place or you'll miss it... JUST FANTASTIC!

Today we decided to go back to some of the most beautiful places in Lazio: Tarquinia and Tuscania. Packed kids, dog, husband... no idea why they are still so little known. Next time we'll head to the etruscan tombs!

How lucky am I to have such incredible friends/clients/agents that organize for me a special surprise birthday party? Kim was up for hours cooking then cleaning then preparing again, took me to meet her family, showed me her city. Each one of the incredibly wonderful people who came prepared something SO YUMMY, something southern for me to explore their culture and tastes and showered me with the sweetest gifts. I just love y'all I feel so blessed, so lucky, so special!!! Even had an incredible next day breakfast for those who couldn't come to the party but still wanted to see me! I had shown then Rome and they have showed me their love and their world. This is what traveling is abourlt: enrich your heart, meet wonderful people, create incredible connections. Thank you, never enough. Love you
