14 - 17 marzo 2024 – Retreat di patchwork con Anna: TECNICA LOG CABIN IMPROV
Una volta all'anno la nostra sala da pranzo viene presa d'assalto dalla macchine da cucire per un appuntamento con la nostra amica , quilter, artista, insegnante e organizzatrice di eventi legati al mondo dell’arte tessile e autrice di manuali di cucito creativo per .
Che siate esperti dell'arte del taglia e cuci o alla prime armi, Anna Maria vi seguirà nella realizzazione di piccoli accessori di stoffa, come portafogli, borsette, pantofole...
Il workshop si sviluppa su 2 o 3 giorni durante i quali vi coccoleremo a pranzo, cena... e merenda con tè e biscottini fatti in casa!
Un'occasione per staccare la spina e magari cominciare pensare ai regali di Natale fatti a mano!

I'm going to use this profile for something slightly unusual!

We're hiring, and we're looking for a cook!

My dream is to find someone with enough experience in the gastronomy business, to start feeling that food should be something else... than a mere business!

Il Rigo’s kitchen is an expression of my idea of how the would should be (allow me that): sustainable, meaningful, authentic, down to earth and full of stories to tell!

At Il Rigo, we prepare a 4-courses menu of traditional Tuscan recipes, sometimes contaminated by dishes that inspired me during travels, exchanges with friends and colleagues, by cook books and by pinterest...

However, there are two unavoidable common denominators: local and seasonal ingredients.

In the past years we've invested lots of energy creating our vegetable garden (the Val d'Orcia is not really suitable for vegetable production) and my main focus it's to enhance all the goodness coming from there and from our farm!

I'd be delighted to hire a foreigner with experience abroad that could bring some fresh air in our countryside while learning about our traditions and sustainable ethos!

I've spent so many New Year's dinners at Il Rigo that I can't even remember! Opening the house and the kitchen for these few days has always been a stress for me.We took the decision to stay closed during covid years, and I don't regret that.

However, now that we're here, I miss the hustle and bustle of the working kitchen, the preparation, the awaiting!

Who knows, maybe next year we'll open again! Would you be up to a Tuescan New Year's celebration?

We're looking forward to seeing you in 2024!
