To all my family and friends and guests that became friends,
It is with the greatest regret that I must announce that I will have to close my business here at Villa Scopetello down and will be leaving in the spring 2025.
So in short, this year will be my last season. I can not tell you all how wonderful it all has been, all those people I have met over the last 12 years + all those friends I made, all those happy moments during ceremonies, during special meals during everything… of course not to mention all those antics I have lived through either from your side or my side… it was a fantastic adventure which sadly has to come to an end…
How ever, for those flexible, I have still some dates open in the summer and I will also consider small groups or families…
One last hurra … lets make this happen… Message me for any more details and dates! And stay tuned for my next adventure! You know what they are saying. One door closes and another opens… Looking at this phrase with mixed feelings but there’s nothing I can do.. it would be wonderful if some of you could make it and we keep in touch!
Gosh , I will miss it!

😉Today, one of the only 2 "yellow" (low corona risk) days, i decided its time to leave the house and drive up Monte Amiata which is about 50 KM from Villa Scopetello. Amazingly up on top of this old Volcano it has snowed up to 2m!!! Got the dogs and winter boots and hiked up the whole mountain. Of course restaurants and bars where still closed but the pure nature was just stunning. I must say, very nice to experience this without the many people on the slopes skiing and snowboarding. Very peaceful. As you can see we had all so much fun! Especially Jessey! :) This weekend All Italy will be in red zone again to prevent people to go exactly in places like this on masses. Then from next week Tuscany will turn yellow again, which means we are allowed to also go out of our town ... Lets stay strong, and find the beauty in also the most difficult situations! We are nearly there

Soooooo many Olives!!!!!
We made it! Harvest of 2020 is officially closed! his year has been a record of Olives. Usually we have about 500Kg of Olives but this year our trees have been hanging full! Every single tree! We picked a grand total of 1546 Kg of Olives and produced about 164 L of Extra Vergine Olive Oil! And yes, all by hand picking... Our dogs have been very helpful. While the big one Jessey was just guarding the olives, little Skully tried always to steal one and play with it! It was a great time to reflect and get busy after a very strange year. Now we are enjoying the fruit of our work. :)
But hey, not only our Olive Trees have been busy... also our lemon trees decided to do very well this year... especially one of them :)

There are good news for everybody!!! Italy will open the borders for everybody (EU) from 3rd of June. That means you can come and spent your holidays at Villa Scopetello! For many people who have visited Villa Scopetello, there is no question: This is a very special and magical place. Many festive moments, lots of laughter, tears of joy and a unique sense of unity has been shared among friends and families all of over the world. We are very proud that we were part of some of the happiest moments in so many peoples lives. And now you can be a part of the the ever continuing history of Villa Scopetello itself.

If you have stayed here, if you are planning to stay here or if you just want to give a special gift to someone you love. Our olive trees symbolize health, strength, endurance, love and unity. As a result they produce one of the finest Extra Virgin Olive Oil in the area. The Oil is rich in flavour, sometimes with a little spicy kick. It is 100% biological and hand picked.

With an adoption of a tree you will receive a certificate of your adoption, a picture of your tree with name tag, 3 times a year we will send you some updates and little surprises via post and when the harvest is done in October / November each year, you will receive the the Extra Virgin Olive Oil in 250 ml units by the time of February/ March.

Package Leccino
Leccino is one of the most common Olive tree types.
It is beloved that it originated in Tuscany and thanks to
the delicate flavour and great availability to adapt,
it is now grown all over the World.
At Villa Scopetello we have about 40 % of Leccino Trees.

With this package you will adopt one of the Olive trees grown at Villa Scopetello.
You will receive:

A picture of your tree with name tag
a certification of your tree adoption
2 Litres of the produced Virgin Olive Oil, 100% biological
3 times a year will receive a little surprise with updates and pictures of your tree.

Price for one year adoption 120 €
Delivery to Europe included, Delivery to USA + 50€
You are welcome to stop by and collect your Olive Oil as well.

Package Frantoio

The Frantoio tree grows very well in our climate, but its not as resistant to colder temperatures. It is very productive and also self pollinating. About 40 % of the Olive trees at Villa Scopetello are Frantoio Trees. There olives have a high content in oil and the flavor is very mild.

With this package you will adopt one of the Olive trees grown at Villa Scopetello
You will receive:

A picture of your tree with name tag
a certification of your tree adoption
4 Litres of the produced Virgin Olive Oil, 100% biological
3 times a year will receive a little postcard with updates and pictures of your tree.

Price for one year adoption 220 €
Delivery of Olive Oil to Europe included, delivery to USA + 60€
You are welcome to stop by and collect your Olive Oil as well.

Muraiolo Package

The Muraiolo is the third type of Olive tree in the
Olive groove at Villa Scopetello. It loves to grow in
hilly positions and is very rustic, although sometimes
it suffers from pruning cuts. The oil has a certain
spicy and bitter flavour which gives the Olive Oil
from Villa Scopetello that special little kick.
About 20 % of our trees are Muraiolo.

With this package you will adopt one of the Olive trees grown at Villa Scopetello
You will receive:

A picture of your tree with name tag
a certification of your tree adoption
6 Litres of the produced Virgin Olive Oil, 100% biological
3 times a year will receive a little postcard with updates and pictures of your tree.

Price for one year adoption 350 €
Delivery of olive Oil to Europe included, delivery to USA + 70€
You are welcome to stop by and collect your Olive Oil as well.

The Villa Scopetello Group Tree Package
Planting a tree has always something special. It is giving something back to nature, leaving a foot print and also creating memories. If you have been a guest at Villa Scopetello, it might be the perfect present for your group of family and friends. If you want to come to Villa Scopetello with your loved ones, it might be not only a good way to give something back to nature but also is a perfect surprise for all your guests. If you never have been at Villa Scopetello, it is a perfect gift to a very special person.

The trees we will plant for you are approx. 2 years old. They will receive a special name tag and we will send you 3 x times a year updates with pictures and little surprises of your tree.
After 2 years, you will receive 4 litters of our Extra virgin Olive Oil which also comes from your tree. You can order up to 5 Liters extra with a 10 % discount.

Price for planting your personal tree 350 €
Delivery of Olive Oil to Europe included, delivery to USA + 60€
You are welcome to stop by and collect your Olive Oil as well.

Our Story

Villa Scopetello- 700 year old Villa in the heart of Tuscany. 12 bedrooms for max. 26people, 8 bathrooms, 3 kitchens, 2 large living rooms, Billiard room, Bar, Office and a beautiful garden with Olive trees, Vine yard, vegetable and herb garden, hidden places to relax and large places to celebrate together! Villa Scopetello is the perfect Base to discover Tuscany- for large groups of friends and families. Its based in the heart of Tuscany in an ideal position with gorgeous views. Only a few km from the Town center of Sinalunga, 40 minute drive from Siena, 15 minute drive from Montepulciano and Pienza away. You can reach Florence via train or car in just about an hour.

If you fancy just to relax, you find a large Swimming pool, a superb Tennis court, ping pong table, badminton and other games directly in the garden. There are several beautiful walks around the property and to other lovely hill top towns.

We are offering the Basic Rent as self catering, but you can also choose if you want to the full service package with Breakfasts, Dinners, Cleaning and concierge service - or a little bit of both.

We can help you organizing wine tours, Horse back riding, transport, truffle hunting, and sight seeing tours. Or we just can give you some advise and ideas of where to go, where to parc and what to discover on your own!
