La scorsa primavera ci siamo imbarcati nell’impavido progetto di coltivare la nostra prima pianta di . Proprio quando stavamo per arrenderci al pronostico del nostro vivaista Maurizio, (“lasciate perdere, vi farà solo da ornamento ma niente frutti”), con il tempo e le cure, è arrivata la sorpresa: cinque frutti, che abbiamo raccolto con la stessa gioia e stupore con cui si accolgono le cose inattese. Oggi per inaugurare il nuovo anno ne assaggiamo uno augurandovi che il #2025 porti la pazienza e la fiducia nel tempo che serve per far maturare i frutti, anche quando il risultato sembra lontano. Che possiate coltivare le vostre sfide con cura, e raccogliere con sorpresa gli esiti del vostro impegno, non necessariamente nel risultato che avevate auspicato, ma con la capacità di apprezzare e interpretare ciò che arriva. Last spring, we embarked on the bold project of cultivating our first grapefruit tree. Just when we were about to give up on the prediction of our plants nurseryman Maurizio (“Don’t bother, it’ll just be ornamental, no fruits”), time and care brought us a surprise: five fruits, which we harvested with the same joy and wonder as one welcomes the unexpected.
Today, to enter in the , we’re tasting one, while wishing you that 2025 brings and in the time it takes for fruits to ripen, even when the outcome seems far away. May you tend to your challenges with care and the results of your efforts with surprise—not necessarily in the form you hoped for, but with the ability to appreciate and interpret what comes your way. Every step, every effort, every wait has meaning, even when it leads us toward unforeseen outcomes.
